• Allocate Electoral College vote to match popular vote
Under the "winner take all" method, there have been elections where the candidate who wins the popular vote fails to win the electoral college vote. The "winner take all" method is the cause of excessive political spending and severe tensions in a few battleground states. This petition seeks to reduce to role of money in elections.

  • Co-sponsor election modernization today
Last November, some voters in Massachusetts had to wait hours to cast their vote and many others did not vote due to our out-dated voter registration system. This must change. It is time to pass comprehensive election reform legislation -- including election audits, pre-registration for 16 and 17 year-olds, online voter registration, Election Day Registration and more. Let us write our legislators and demand election reform for 2013 in Massachusetts.

  • Actual work for pay and benefits
Are you getting tired of Congress hardly ever being in session? It seems we are basically paying them to campaign or go to party seminars. I suggest that we start paying Congress BY THE HOUR!! They must be in session or committee hearings to collect any wage. Paying them minimum wage might be a good way to open their eyes to the plight of their constituents.

  • Recall Rick Scott
Florida needs someone who'll bring jobs to the state, not someone whose political ideology stands in the way of people making a decent wage. Bring the high-speed rail and other businesses to Florida. Floridians need jobs not a do nothing govenor. We want someone who works FOR the people, not against them and their families.

  • Require a mandate in gubernatorial elections.
The Governor of Texas should be elected by a majority vote. It is a shame that any elected official should hold office with only 40% of the votes going to him or her.
