Congress takes entirely too many vacation days and accomplishes entirely too little for the pay we citizens provide. This should change.

Congress has become a non functioning body that has stopped working for the American people. It has become a congress for special interest groups and lead by only a few who don't belong to congress. It's no longer a government of the people for the people.

Congress has not been doing their jobs. Now, they have exempted themselves from the Federal Pay Cuts taking place affecting 800,000 federal employees. They need to be recalled if they cannot do for the people as they were elected to do. They keep leaving Washington. We hired them. Let's fire them! They are currently getting paid for doing nothing but hurting those who hired them, and those who pay them! The 99% are the one suffering. Congress should not be getting paid while this debacle is taking place. It is time to take our country back!

Hundreds of thousands of hard working Americans will see significant pay cuts as a result of Sequestration. Since Congress can't solve the problem, and because they too are on the Federal payroll, we propose a Congressional 20% pay reduction until Sequestration is resolved. Congress can either show solidarity with those negatively impacted by promoting this idea, or in opposing it, engender the ill will of their constituents.

We elected the President because we agreed with his policies. Now the House & Senate Republicans are blocking any new revenue in a deal to avoid the sequester. John Boehner just stated once again that revenue is NOT on the table. Join me and tell John Boehner and Mitch McConnell to put revenue on the table in the form of closing loopholes for the rich and for corporations who get tax rebates!

Congressional Term Limits

Representative John Conyers who has made it simple. Congress can pass a clean bill for President Obama's signature that says: "Section 251A of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 is repealed."

Basic Congressional Reform which forces Congress to personally feel the effects of both its actions and inactions is critical to our democracy. Congress can not be separated by entitlements and laws which are different from the rest of American citizens.

A constitutional amendment requiring public funding of presidential and congressional campaigns will eliminate the special interest money from politics and allow congress to work for All the people of the nation.
