TRYING TO CHANGE HOW ELECTORAL VOTES ARE WON

There are many issues confronting our State. But none can reasonable dealt without a sound without fiscal base.

Every congress member should be held accountable to all the people of the United States for doing the job they were elected to.Their job description should high light representing the people not corporations with under the table money.This should include doing the tasks at hand and stopping the additions to any legislation that don't represent that topic.The federal penalty should be dismissal,fines,and prison time commensurate with action.

Since it against the law to lie to or mislead police officers, judges, and congress, it should also be against the law to lie to, or mislead the people they serve. Please hold our public servants to the same standard they hold us to - it should be a punishable crime to knowingly lie to the American people. We the people deserve honest leadership.

The Public is the forth coequal branch of the federal government, and it is still unaware of this and how we propose to how to rectify this problem or issue in an active and positive manner for the integration of folks who want to help solve problems with knowledge and sunshine.

Gun violence must be greatly reduced but gun owners claim that laws prohibiting any kind of weapon or ammo clip infringes on their rights. It's time to attach some societal responsibility to the right to bear arms.

Bi-partisanship in the House and Senate is vital to the smooth running of government programs, the nation’s economy and passing important legislation. That is the only way to end our fiscal troubles, pass good immigration reform, and other important legislation.

Currently in North Carolina, state law does not restrict a public employee’s ability to leave state government and go to work for, or represent, a private entity. Many states have a "cooling off period" of 1-2 years before a public employee may go to work for a private interest they once regulated, but in NC that period is only 6 months, and it applies only to activities that qualify as lobbying. The Governor is tasked with making new appointments to the North Carolina Utilities Commission, which regulates the activities of privately owned utilities (e.g. phone, electricity, water/sewer). The North Carolina Utilities Commission, like other NC government commissions, has very few restrictions preventing "revolving door" politics. Conflicts of interest (or the appearance of conflicts of interest) can impact the integrity of the Commission to make fair decisions in the interest of the public. We are petitioning to ask that new appointees voluntarily abide by a two-year "cooling-off period" to indicate their commitment to unbiased decision-making and fairness in government.

North Carolina is only one of 12 states that do not allow recall elections for governor. To truly be a democratic and representative government the state should allow recall elections,

AT their current wages this will allow them to be paid $2,500.00 us bucks for each day worked. Why haven't they taken the pay cuts most middle class people have rrecieved over the last serveral years

The South Dakota voters have shown not once, but TWICE, that we support a woman's right to choose what is right for her body in regard to pregnancy, yet bills keep being introduced in attempt to ban or limit abortion. The newest is an attempt to remove holidays and weekends from the "eligible days" of the already absurd 72-hour waiting period before a woman can obtain an abortion. This makes the procedure nearly impossible to schedule, as there is only one clinic in the state that performs abortions. The legislators need to stop wasting taxpayer time, money, and resources in this endless battle that has already been fought and defeated.......TWICE. Stop stifling the voice of the voters, and accept what we are telling you: South Dakota is a pro-choice state and wants to remain that way!
