It is time to have a person like this as we are coming out of our adolescence and need to begin defining what American culture is about, instead of letting others tell us what we are. So many of our friends even have a negative attitude about our culture, or lack of it. This is the proper area for the discussion of whether we are or are not a violent nation and do we now need to define ourselves in a new light. Everyone assumes they know what culture is, but I doubt everyone can define it, at least in our American context. The nation needs to focus on our life here and now as well as the future, and what we would like it to be. I think we need a lot of small discussion groups about this topic and then begin to support/educate ourselves.

This petition is in regard to the fact that nowhere in the Federal Constitution does it explictly indicate that the people have a right to a government that operates in an effective and efficient manner which achieves the intended porpose of the program. This not an attempt at Jeffersonian little government, rather, a mandate for responsible government.

Let's pass the same gun control policies that Governor Andrew Cuomo did for his citizens in New York.

State Law allows Commisioners Court and City Government to set the rules for Liquor Licenses and can allow these to allowing the selling of liqouor within 1000 ft for schools. We would like for the state to set the minimum distace to be 1000 ft from public and ,private schools. There should also not be any sales within 300 ft of a church, public hospital and residences.

I personally cannot believe in this country any longer considering the lack of enthusiasm congress has displayed.

I yet have met anyone who would not prefer to have daylight savings time all year round. I think it helps our moods to have more daylight. I also know it gives us more time to do outdoor activities.

The stalemate and inability or unwillingness of many of the members of Congress to engage one another civilly and intelligently and the obvious motive of most of them to do whatever necessary in order to stay in office has driven the general citizenry to throw up their hands. It's time that the members of Congress were made to play by the same rules they dole out to the rest of us.

House Bill 94 would change the way the electoral college votes in Pennsylvania.

When congressmen and women do not do their job, they should not be paid their salary. If they do not vote, they are not working and they should not be paid.

Our representatives should not be allowed to put riders on bills, thereby, hiding spending and special interests.

Tough Gun laws are needed in New York State and all over the country. I am very proud that Governor Cuomo has taken a stance. People do not need assault weapons. Let's fight to keep them banned and off our streets. 40,000 signatures have been collected against the new legislation. Where are the other 20 million who support the new law? Our voices count too!
