Our public officials have become some of our biggest problems and always seem to forget what they were elected to do. They seem to think that once elected,they are entitled to a free ride for life.

Congress members and Senators have huge entitlements: Healthcare, Retirement packages, free postage and many others--Before you cut Social Security (NOT an Entitlement--we all paid for it!) and Medicare How about taking a hard look at the amount of money that is doled out to members of Congress? Surely there is room for cuts there--If you all would cut your ENTITLEMENTS--the rest of us might feel better about making some adjustments in the necessary things that help us live healthy, productive lives.

The Ombudsman is a seperate entity With full disclosure to Department of corrections in order to help inmates receive what the state is legally obligated to provide. Medical, mail, religous services, and financial accounts that are owned by the incarcerated people. The majority of the public think that the "inmates have it too easy", This is not true. many times from the time one enters the Department of Corrections from the food they are provided with to the mail to the medical services, the inmates don't receive adequate services. Many pass away while incarcerated due to lack of medical attention. Suffering to death.

Congress is scheduled to work 10 days in December before they go on vacation lasting until the new year, possibly not resolving the fiscal cliff. This is after they had a lengthy recess for the election cycle, and then another for Thanksgiving. We should demand they stay at their jobs until they pass a tax break for the 98% who are not making over $250,000/year ( $200,000 for single filer). This Congress is distinctive for being among the least productive in history. We must tell them, loud and clear, that we won't stand for it. In President Obama's words, "it's like a lump of coal for Christmas. It's a Scrooge Christmas." No tax break= no vacation.

Our paid employees in the US congress have spent a lot of time just trying to stay in office. Not working on issues that come up is a waste.

I believe that its beyond time that the government is placed back into the confines of the constitution. They need to be placed on noticed that they are wrong and the party is over!

Must reform voting process to make it fair and easy. Must be completed by 2014.

We all suffer in this country from the partisan bickering and entrenched stances taken on either side of political aisle. This petition is an urgent appeal to all elected officials to do whatever it takes to diligently work together for viable solutions to our most pressing issues.

The Emergency Unemployment Compensation program is ending. There are still thousands of unemployed persons who need this assistance until they can find work. These are people like you and me, who have children and loved ones to provide for. Hard working people who have received a bad break.
