I was looking forward to undoing the wave election of 2010, and I was looking forward to throwing my support behind the Democrat running against John Boehner. Only, I saw that he was running unopposed... Let's not let that happen again! Vow to support, with money or effort, a Democrat to run against Boehner and his do-nothing record.

The American people are waiting for their government to do its work: serve the citizens. At this critical time in our national history, with so many pressing issues (fiscal matters, foreign affairs, education, jobs, the environment, etc.) we need a brave, ethical House of Representatives to do its job. WORK TOGETHER!

The Obama Administration has already doubled the cost of starting a business. More than a million people have lost their health insurance under Obamacare, and thousands more are threatened with termination or reduced hours.

In running for his very first office, State Rep, Charlie Dent promised, if elected, the $7,000.00 annual increase PA. House just approved would all go to local charities. He won - no one got a cent! People who courteously stto0d their grond to talk to them, got sent to jail, and heavily fined. Their crime? They wanted to meet with their Congressman

My petition is about our representatives in congress. I feel as though they should be paid by the hour since they take more vacations than anyone in America. Also I feel they should stop their cost of living raises they get every year until they do the job we sent them there to do.

I think it has been proven time and again that there are certain elements within our government that have made it clear they don't want to make decisions that move government forward. Instead they just want to stomp their feet like children and pout every time they don't get their way. That being the case, John Boehner seems to be a special case in that he has become the representation of government gridlock. I don't care what side of the political landscape you stand on. We are seeing with Boehner a man that has several times said that he is willing to sabotage our government system to get his way. Impeachment would send a message that we demand action from our government, and we will not stand any longer for government gridlock that makes the average American suffer while congress continues to get paid for inaction.

What is the purpose of pretending that we have a representative form of government when big money is allowed to continually subvert the democratic process? Personally, I once thought my vote was a partial buy in to this process, in addition to my responsibility to be a good citizen and participate in between elections by letting my representatives be aware of my opinion on key issues. But lobbies are an end-run around this entire process, producing disenfranchised citizens, apathetic voters, and on the extreme side, separatists who actively oppose the system.

Currently, with a few exceptions, virtually any amendment can be attached to a piece of legislation at both the Federal and State levels(there is at least one state that has a restriction in place). The intent of this petition would be to create necessary laws to prevent this from happening.

How do the courts transform a stay-at-home parent into a parent who only gets to spend every other weekend with the kids? The California Family Code contains a presumption of "shared custody," but fails to define what that means. As a result, judges routinely assign one parent primary custody and limit children to spending 4 days or less per month with the other parent. If a judge feel it is in the best interest of the child to spend less time with one parent, the judge should be required to specify what steps the noncustodial parent needs to take in order to be granted equal time with the child.

The election gave our President Obama a decisive victory, echoing the public's disgust with your continued failure to understand the will of the people. Our president now deserves your support for his program. Your failure to do the people's business will only increase the public's disgust with your tactics.
