This petition is for the purpose of phasing out any and all retirement and health insurance programs paid for by the public and which are to the benefit of members of the House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate and the respective staves of both houses. Said retirement and health insurance programs shall phase out within two (2) years of the adoption of this law and any funds remaining in said programs shall be transferred to the Social Security and health insurance programs that are available to the general public. Further, on the date that said retirement and health insurance programs are phased out, said members of the House of Representatives, the U.S. Senators and the respective staves of both houses shall participate and benefit from the Social Security and health insurance programs that are available to the general public.

It is, in my mind, ridiculous that we are paying elected officials to campaign through a significant portion of their term in office. I believe that the length of time that campaigns by incumbents and all other office seekers can be run should be severely limited by law to a reasonable period of 4 months or less.

Allowing the residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia to propose legislation that politicians will not. If enacted, an indirect initiative would be first referred to the legislature, and then put to a popular vote only if not enacted by the legislature.

All Americans are affected by the, " National Debt ", and that old game of kick the can played out in the 1920's. We have a disfunctional government that betrayed America, outsourcing jobs for cheap labor avoiding tax'es,people hiding money in foreign banks to avoid tax'es.Tax breaks for oil companies,banks, corporations.Not to mention millions lost and stolen in foreign aide. The current Federal Reserve system, fractional reserve banking, and Debt Based Money has created chaos in the financial markets worldwide. End the Federal Reserve and change the monetary system to take away the ability of bankers to create money "out of thin air". Change the monetary system so that the government "spends" money into existence instead of the current system of private bankers "lending" (at high interest rate) money into existence. Require "full reserve" banking.

Current filibuster rules allow a minority of Senators to block action by the majority. This is wrong. In the two years of the current Congress, there have been 110 filibusters. In the 1950's, the average number of filibusters was one every two years. The will be a tiny window of opportunity when Congress convenes in January; on that day only, a simple majority of Senators, 51 of the 100, can change the rules.

No disenfranchisement! Every citizen has the right to vote and the health of democracy requires facilitating that right--not making it more difficult to exercise!! I haven't been affected by this personally but I like to think I know a little something about democracy's requirements!

This law makes it illegal for the KY Department of Homeland Security leadership to fail to acknowledge "Almighty God" as the ultimate protector of the state. It REQUIRES leadership to proselytize this notion, an unequivocal government endorsement of a single religion, or face up to a year in prison.

I'm a citizen of the state of Alabama, and we have one of the most unwieldy and archaic constitutions of any state in the union. With over 800 amendments, a serious revamping is needed, with an emphasis on equality and human rights.

In California we have been adversely affected by huge amounts of special interest money affecting both the selection of candidates and in their policies when in office, both in Washington and statewide in California.
