I'm going to start a campaign, movement, whatever it takes, and we're going to go after the guns. Americans don't need handguns and we don't need assault weapons, and clearly the system we have today doesn't work. Twenty kindergarten children were murdered today; an entire classroom full of six and seven year olds. The shooter reportedly used two 9mm handguns, one made by Glock and the other by Sig Sauer, and an AR-15-type rifle also was found at the scene. Spare me the whining about your Second Amendment rights, I don’t want to hear it, and I don’t think the twenty sets of parents, or the forty sets of grandparents care one whit about your right to own an AK47, AR15 or semi-automatic pistol; while you’re screaming about your precious gun rights, stop and think about the erased rights of those 20 children to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. Their blood and their futures is too high a price for your right to go “target shooting”, to “collect” weapons, or to prepare for whatever post apocalyptic future you’ve dreamed up in your foil encrusted head. The government of the U. S. and all its states have a duty set forth in our country's Constitution, beginning with the Preamble--the sacred philosophical foundation of all that follows in the remainder of the document: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Finally, let's wake up and hold the president, governor and all law makers responsible. The right to be safe from murder trumps the right of a well regulated militia to bear arms. It's the right of LIFE.

Enough is enough. We may not be able to prevent every act of gun violence in this country, but we have to take action to set this country back on a sane path of responsible gun laws. Americans demand that our leaders stand up to the NRA and gun lobby. Yes we have the 2nd Amendment. But there is no excuse for allowing anyone to buy a military-style weapon at a gunshow without a background check, or supporting laws such as the recent one in Michigan that would allow anyone to carry a concealed weapon into a school. It's utter insanity and its got to stop.

Given the gun violence in the past week-first in Oregon and yesterday in Connecticut, it is time to ban all assault weapons. How many more people must die before we take action to ban all automatic and semi-automatic weapons?

The horrific act commited in Newtown Conn. is and must be the last straw. If our lawmakers will not take a moral stand against the NRA and other gun promotors, then we must act. Without the ability to know who is armed and ready to commit an act like this, we must at least have a fighting chance to protect our children. We must demand at the state, local and private sectors, armed security at all schools.

Considering the rash of mass murders in the last decade and the current spirit of American society, I believe that the context of the Second Amendment has changed so radically that it must be repealed. Life is more sacred than the Second Amendment.

Aligning the interests of those who make the laws and regulations with the people those laws affect.

Since most of our citizens have had hard times in the past few years, I think it's high time for our so called leaders to take cuts like WE have! It will not only help our overburdened budget but also might restore our faith in them.

Make gun ownership the same as getting a drivers license. The police will test you on gun safety ,and a psychologist will test for emotional stability. It won't prevent all crime, but it will make everyone aware of their resonsibility to their fellow man. Make this retroactive to current gun owners as well. If you have a gun, you must have a license to possess it.

Let us have gun control. I am not personally affected.
