normalize Federal Election rules in all 50 StatesTo normalize rules in all Federal Elections in all 50 states in order to avoid confusion of voting rules from 1 state to the next. Such rules would make the election laws the same in every state for Federal elections or candidates since they are Federal elections or issues.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by chuck snyder

Term limits for senators and congressmanI don't believe that senators and congressman should be in power for as many times as re-elected. The president can only be re-elected once. Why should these people be in government for so long? Being in there for so long creates a seat of power and impunity3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cornelio Castillo

Congress: Stop Making Excuses Not to Confirm Obama's Nomination of Susan Rice as Secretary of State"Your apparent haggling over, what appear to be, baseless trumped-up issues related to such matters as Susan Rice's replacement and confirmation as Secretary of State is both unprofessional and counterproductive. Our national security should be our legislator's top priority."5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Belinda Ferrell

Limit The Money Spent on Campaign advertisingBillions of dollars were spent on television ads in Las Vegas alone. This money was completely WASTED. Our schools are suffering and people go hungry and jobless while depending on welfare. That money could have been used for programs to help us build a better community. I think a national law should be passed to limit campaign contributions and advertising. The ads are ridiculous propaganda. THis should not be allowed to continue when we all know that it is wrong. Lets force politicans to actually DEBATE and EXPLAIN their positions with a series of national televised debates instead of wasting billions of dollars in ads. It is time for us to make a change in our failing political system. Instead of signing 'no new tax pledges', politicans should sign a " no more than 250,000 spent on advertising" pledge.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by barret carpenter

Outrageous Water Bills in Baltimore City ; and forced foreclosure due to low ( as low as $ 250.00...This petition is about unfair water bills in Baltimore and the law that allows the City of Baltimore to foreclose on a home for as little as a $250.00 outstanding water bill. I am a homeowner who occupies a single dwelling home in the city of Baltimore. I am being billed for an average daily consumption of 276 gallons. There are two people currently living in my home, my daughter and I; my grand-daughter is away in school, there are no leaks on my property. I had to pay a $1,500.00 water bill a few years ago at that time I had plumbing replaced from the street leading into my home. The plumbers informed me that the problem was not due to the street to house plumbing. City water is also used by county residents, however they do not have to pay for the use of city water. In closure; I do not operate a business that I would be expected to consume 276 gallons of water per day. If county residents utilize city water they should pay for the portions used by them, and last but not least homeowners living in Baltimore pay enormous water bills but we have continued water main breaks due to neglect of the upkeep of our water structure. I question where and how the money is spent from our bill payments?152 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Betty Merritt

Federal elections need to be non-partisanIn state after state, elected partisan secretaries of state directly control elections in a partisan manner. Fewer voting machines are provided to areas where the opposition party is strong than to areas dominated by the party in power. These partisan secretaries of state use their position to suppress votes and disenfranchise voters.266 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Eleanor Hare

End the endless campaigning for officeIt is, in my mind, ridiculous that we are paying elected officials to campaign through a significant portion of their term in office. I believe that the length of time that campaigns by incumbents and all other office seekers can be run should be severely limited by law to a reasonable period of 4 months or less.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Karen Helton

Abolish the Federal Reserve and require non-debt based PUBLIC government issued money supplyThe current Federal Reserve system, fractional reserve banking, and Debt Based Money has created chaos in the financial markets worldwide. End the Federal Reserve and change the monetary system to take away the ability of bankers to create money "out of thin air". Change the monetary system so that the government "spends" money into existence instead of the current system of private bankers "lending" (at high interest rate) money into existence. Require "full reserve" banking.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by M. McPherson
