• Term Limits: Congress shouldn't be a lifetime career
Congress members are becoming life time appointees encouraging corruption and causing them to lose touch with constituents. They would be more likely to remain loyal to their constituency if they had to get a job among them when their term was up

  • True Citizens' Initiative
It seems like many of the initiatives on our ballot have been the result of paid signature gatherers, This goes against the legitimate purpose of initiatives, which were designed to give private citizens, not corporations or the wealthy, a voice in the lawmaking process. I propose that paid signature gathering be made illegal and that initiatives that reflect the opinions of a sufficient number of citizens be the only ones that qualify for the ballot.

  • Congressional relegislation
I believe that we as citizens of this great country should put our collective feet in the middle of the legislators posteriors and push until they discontinue this practice of treating the American Public like mushrooms.

  • No "No Tax Hike" Pledge
A Washington lobbyist, Grover Norquist, not elected to anything, has been pushing a pledge, for years, that hogties congress people's ability to act on their own. They take an oath on entering congress, and should not be pressured to sign any other sort of pledge, or oath.

  • City County Council
The prosecutor's office is a public office. It is housed in a privately owned building. The owner of the building prevents us from rallying at the prosecutor's office. This means a private citizen prevented the public from having access to a public office. We are asking the city county council to move the prosecutor's office to a building where the public has access.

  • Expand Representation in Government
I propose that the federal government lower the people per representative in the House of Representatives by expanding the number of representatives and make the House more accurately representative of the people. Back in the beginning of the Republic, the House had a case of less than 50,000 people per representative. Now each representative has over 600,000 people to serve. So I propose that We, the People enlarge the House to make it more representative of the People.

  • Term Limit for President
There would be no campaigning of or for this President while he/she was in office. Campaigning would not take the President away from their duties as President. One 6 year term would give each President more time to accomplish their goals for our country.

  • VP Biden: Stop Congress's benefit package
We, as American citizens, want a change in Congress's benefit program. 1. They should not decide their own raises. 2. They should retire with only social security, like their constituents. 3. They should accept medicare or Obamacare for medical insurance. They need to live and manage the way we are forced to, and be considerate of the people who elect them.

  • President Obama, make amending the Constitution a top priority
President Obama has criticized the Citizens United decision and said a constitutional amendment to overrule it may be necessary. (see http://bit.ly/Ub9cxd ) But will he fight for it? The answer may be up to us. In his victory speech, President Obama said to Americans that the election... "doesn’t mean your work is done. The role of citizens in our democracy does not end with your vote. America’s never been about what can be done for us. It’s about what can be done by us together through the hard and frustrating, but necessary work of self-government." Now, while the memory of $6 billion spent on the election -- and of the ugly, divisive ads that money bought -- is still fresh, is the moment for us to urge President Obama to lead on this issue. Imagine how much better that money could have been spent. And imagine how much stronger America would be.

  • Stop the outrageous life-time full pay pensions to former Congress members
Every member of Congress, upon defeat or retirement, even after only one term, is presently entitled to a pension of full pay for life. They should receive the same as anyone on Social Security. The same rules should apply to them as apply to everyone else

  • Time to ante up
Congressional leaders in the Republican ranks want to repeal the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a Obamacare), yet their health coverage is free and their retirement is free. It is time for the members of Congress to ante up and pay for their own health coverage and retirement if they wish to deny American citizens affordable care and Social Security. After all, they should lead by example.
