Initiate a bill to ad a 6.5% surtax on every television political advertisement. The proceeds from such tax shall be earmarked SOLELY and specifically to improve national voting technologies and methods to prevent the egregious delays that occurred in this last election.

This is about being fair. The government wants to reduce the entitlement programs for seniors and the poor. I am retired and for as much as I put into these programs while working and can hardly get by on what I receive. If we have to feel the pain then Congress and the White House should show the country that we are all in this together. It is easy to pass the cuts to the most vulnerable in our society and not have skin in the game.

This began in order to compensate farmers or small businessmen for leaving their livelihood to serve the people. Now it has become an industry, and by cutting these golden parachutes, the money could be used in better ways.
