Congress is going to make important decisions about Social Security and Medicare. If they had to live with those decisions, I believe they would make better policies.

Restoring our election processes to the voting age citizens. We the People are tired of having big spenders swamp the airwaves with negative nonsense.

GOP House and Senate members who signed Grover Norquist’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge must show all Americans that they care more about this country than they do about a 20-year-old pledge, by revoking their oath to Grover Norquist.

All good things die in the senate as obstructionist Republicans hold democracy hostage with the filibuster as we now know it. It is time to reform the filibuster and let the senate do it's job without super majorities for everything

Estimates for 2012 presidential campaign spending is approximately $2.2 billion dollars and $6 billion for all campaign spending. With US and international hunger problems, challenges for funding for education, infrastructure problems, national debt and increasing poverty to name a few issues, it is reasonable to limit spending for any election.

Americans are becoming increasingly immune to violence and the use of remotely operated drones to kill people is extremely immoral. I am personally affected by these killings as I witness the indifference of my fellow citizens to violent video games, violent TV shows and movies, and violent interpersonal relationships. For the U.S. government to be sanctioning drone killings is appalling to say the least.

There is tremendous duplication of various governmental agencies and even within agencies.

We are a large country now. Much larger than the founding father's ever imagined. This system no longer works for the voters. We need one person, one vote for proper representation.

To normalize rules in all Federal Elections in all 50 states in order to avoid confusion of voting rules from 1 state to the next. Such rules would make the election laws the same in every state for Federal elections or candidates since they are Federal elections or issues.

I don't believe that senators and congressman should be in power for as many times as re-elected. The president can only be re-elected once. Why should these people be in government for so long? Being in there for so long creates a seat of power and impunity

Billions of dollars were spent on television ads in Las Vegas alone. This money was completely WASTED. Our schools are suffering and people go hungry and jobless while depending on welfare. That money could have been used for programs to help us build a better community. I think a national law should be passed to limit campaign contributions and advertising. The ads are ridiculous propaganda. THis should not be allowed to continue when we all know that it is wrong. Lets force politicans to actually DEBATE and EXPLAIN their positions with a series of national televised debates instead of wasting billions of dollars in ads. It is time for us to make a change in our failing political system. Instead of signing 'no new tax pledges', politicans should sign a " no more than 250,000 spent on advertising" pledge.
