Most of the members of Congress are millionaires, or close to it. They have LIFETIME pensions higher than most Americans, plus health care. They do not pay into Social Security. No wonder they have no compassion for the 99%! Since their pensions are so out of line, then we can save money by bringing them closer to our reality!

The first day of the 2013 session is the only time the Senate can vote to change the rules it operates under. Currently any Senator can just phone in an exception, and the targeted bill or action will need a supermajority (65%) to pass. A simple majority of Democratic senators can change this rule, but only on the first day. If you voted for President Obama, circulate this action so the Senators comply!

Congress is not doing their work. They get too much time off and too many benefits.

Subsides for corn and corn feed have done an excellent job at lowering cost on corn and its byproducts, like high fructose corn syrup and beef. Unfortunately, a growing percentage of our population is becoming overweight by consuming too much of these affordable foods. Changing our agriculture subsidies by transferring 20% of corn and corn feed subsidies to healthier fruits and veggies like avocados, spinach, cabbage, carrots, and tomatoes etc..would reduce the cost of these healthier foods and therefore increase consumption by Americans. This change would reduce obesity related diseases, which would result in lower health care costs.

We in Illinois have all read about the posturing being done by conservatives both here and across our nation. These movements are not serious, and should not be addressed as such by our elected officials.

Legislatures, Governor, Lt. Governor and Secretary of State have not served the people of Florida which is their responsibility for the well being of Florida. If they are failing to uphold their office then the people of Florida should be able to recall them.

stop calling social security and medicare entitlements. we pay to help fund these programs . should be called national retirement funds

The "no" party has put our country on hold. Spending our tax money to bring down the president and trying to make sure he wouldn't get another term was an enormous waste of time and money.
