"Congress: Partisan Politics Equals Terrorism"The decision to oppose anything President Obama attempts to do by the Republican Party, "We the People" are the ones to suffer. Mitch McConnell's admission that his party's No.1 goal is to make Mr. Obama a 1-term president negatively affects Americans arguably more than the 911 attacks. If "United WE Stand, Divided WE Fall" is true, what more proof is needed that the Republicans hatred for President Obama will undoubtedly be as shameful as and even more harmful than the history of slavery itself! We're calling on Congress to stop their Partisan Politics and get behind this president for the sake of us ALL!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Eric r McCarroll

Reveal Congressional SalariesMembers of the Congress and the Senate should have to reveal their tax records just as the President does. It's time for the people to know the source of our representatives' income and how much they pay in taxes. I want to know that they are truly by and for the people and not working in the interest of big corporations.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kathy Zeiser

The 1st & 2nd Choice InitiativeWhen I vote for President, a third party candidate might be more in line with my values, but, I realize that if I vote for the candidate of my choosing, the candidate I least want to be the President may win. This initiative would help to break up the two party monopoly.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Richard R. Roller

Americans United For Ethics ReformWhy do we allow rules that are the equivalent to political bribery? Why do we permit private interests to create conflicts of interest between our elected representatives and ourselves? For much too long, private special interests have been bullying our representatives into showering them with our tax dollars through contracts and subsidies and deregulating industry regardless to We The People's needs. These corporations, with their war chests of money and their corporate tool candidates, threaten to oppose anyone who cares about putting We The People's interests ahead of their own. Let's work to declare our representatives independent from the lingering threat of corporate retaliation that comes from doing what's in We The People's interests by supporting those candidates who support this pledge. This Citizens Protection Pledge is an oath to We The People that will work to eliminate the dangerous conflict of interest that is created when public representatives accept special interest money. Let's effectively end the corrupt practice of politicians putting in a term or two and then going to work as a high paid lobbyist or even going to work in any capacity for a corporation that has a lobbying department. Will you please sign our new Americans United petition and share it with your friends and family all over the United States? The greater the awareness of the systematic corruption and its ill effects on our democracy the greater will be our ability to overpower it. All in all, persons who are running for elected offices and who sign this Pledge deserve to be considered on their merits to fulfill the needs of the elected office and if they do so, should be considered for election to said office over others running for said office who have not signed this Pledge. Thanks for all you do. Term limits for Congressmen and womenOur representatives spend much of their time fund raising to enable them to stay in office. Long term congressional people are subservient to lobbyists' money, not the good of the country. The constitution did not envision career politicians!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carol S. Guilbert

Stop wasting taxpayer money with political theaterThe Republican leaders of the House are about to (yet again--they have done this 30 times already) take a vote to repeal the Health Care Law. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of this, and there is no way this will pass the Senate. Why are they wasting our money and not getting down to work on issues that can get something done? Even if this takes only an hour of their time, this costs the US taxpayers over $38,000 not counting administrative costs! If this were a private corporation, these people would be fired.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by kim hedberg

Rep. Cravaack: Schedule a Town Hall meeting in Duluth!Rep. Cravaack hasn't held a public town hall in Duluth, the largest urban center in his district, in almost a year. We've been trying to reach Rep. Cravaack to talk to us about his support for the GOP's Billionaire Budget, his vote to scale-back the Violence Against Women Act, and all the other times he's put the 1% before his constituents. We called his local constituent office and his congressional office in D.C, but we haven’t had any luck tracking him down. On June 15, Rep. Cravaack told us that he was planning something "special" for Duluth. But he refused to say when or where.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jane Booth-Tobin
