the military now gets over 50% of the tax revenues of the United States. We need to redirect a portion of this, first, to help the people in need in this country. It is unconscionable that in the wealthiest nation on earth, we cannot afford to fix our infrastructure, or help the poorest among out of poverty; secondly, we need to use the military to help people of other countries rebuild their nations, not destroy them by dropping bombs and selling weapons.

There is a need to establish minimum discloser requirements so all voters recieve the same basic information on a perspective candidate for office. Currently, this is up to each candidate resulting in uneaqual, disjointed, misleading information. The minimum requirement will provide standard insight into a candidates positions, qualifications & financial management.

I cannot stand every time there is an election that the amount of money spent just keeps getting higher. Congress has tried to stop this but it never seems to change. And the elected officials never get to do their work because they are always fund raising for the next election.

Many representatives vote to support the goals of their corporate contributors. We urge all Senators and Representatives to pledge not to accept any contributions, direct or indirect from corporations.

In the past century, laws for disclosures of political donations were made to minimize corruptions. More laws were made by both parties since the Watergate scandal. However, in the past decade, thanks to word games, these laws were abolished. As a result, excessive secret donations were made in the past year. To ensure that this coming election is not being corrupted, we need to have such donations disclosed.

The role of money in American politics is aided and abetted by the Electoral College. Each state legislature controls the way the electors vote as well as who they are. We all know that the price of a majority of state level legislators is way lower than ads for a national campaign. By amending the Constitution, Article 2 Section 1, to eliminate the college and count each persons vote for president we will make it virtually impossible for big money to buy all of our votes. There will never again be another tie vote.

Why is any person, corporation, or even foreign government, without a right to vote in a given election, allowed to contribute even one cent to try to affect that election's outcome? A resident of one state is not allowed to vote in another state's election, and so should not be allowed to make contributions. A corporation is not entitled to a vote; every individual employee and stockholder may have the right to vote in a given election, and the choice of whom to support is theirs, not their boss's.
