• Abolish the Electoral College
The Electoral College has outlasted its usefulness. It is part of the constitution, written when communication was by pony express. Voters currently living and voting in a "red" or "blue" state are disenfranchised, because their vote doesn't matter. Eliminating the electoral college means: no "swing" states getting all the attention and all the campaign stops and all the empty campaign promises. The electoral members are selected by the two main political parties, Republican and Democrat, disenfranchising all other voters, independent, Libertarian, etc. End it now.

  • Political honesty
This whole country is being victimized by the heartless, sociopathic attacks by RepubliCON politicians and their Super pacs. They constantly lie about their opponents and one reason is that they cannot run on their own records. At least 95% of their attacks are groundless and can't be proven. RepubliCON-artists need millions of mis-informed voters; that is the only way they can win. They do their best to keep them mis-informed. We need to petition Congressional members and anyone creating political ads and all political journalists that they MUST tell the truth! It is not that difficult. Why should we have to listen to spins and lies like those spewed by FAUX News and rightwing talkshow hosts? IT IS ABOUT TIME! That is right. Even if you are involved in politics as a journalist, you MUST do everything you can to present facts.

  • Impeach Supreme Court Justice Thomas
Justice Thomas would be removed from any lower court bench because of the conflict of interest created when he ruled on the Affordable Care Act while his wife received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a group which mounted an active campaign against the health care act. Justice Thomas has violated his oath of office, the cannons of ethics of the Bar Association of Washington DC in that he did not disclose that his wife was working for a conservative think tank and a conservative 501c(4) group which opposed the ACA. In addition, he filed incomplete and false Financial Disclosure Forms to keep litigants who had cases pending before the Supreme Court from having information that could be used to disqualify him from hearing those cases. He did so knowing that his family would benefit financially from his decisions. His spouse has received a reported $1.4 million from clients who also had matters pending before the US Supreme Court.

  • Campaign reform
Campaign reform should be instituted to severely restrict donations from corporate entities and the wealthy. In order to return the government to the will of the people, reasonable and appropriate financing of political campaigns should be accomplished primarily through the government and be borne by the taxpayers. A very limited donation from private individuals, (not business entities) should be allowed but limited to $1,000. per person maximum.

  • Money-Isn't-Speech Constitutional Amendment
Many individuals and organizations, spanning the ideological spectrum, are concerned about the functioning of our democracy and about the rights and limitations of individuals to use their wealth to influence the political process. Most often, it is the principle of Freedom of Speech that has been used to defend the rights of individuals to contribute their private funds to political campaigns. But Free Speech already has a meaning: “Liberty to express opinions and ideas without hindrance, and especially without fear of punishment” (Oxford Dictionary of Politics). There may be other grounds to defend private funding of electoral campaigns, but Freedom of Speech should not be used by the courts to curtail the important public discussion and decision about the balance of our individual and collective rights. This Amendment restores to citizens the right to set the ground rules for financing of elections. It does not prejudge what those ground rules should be.

  • Require Congress to Live Like US!
Congress wont solve any problems if the system let's them live and work in another reality than the normal citizen. Also recent Supreme Court decisions can only be overturned by an Amendment (or them to over turn their own ruling), this Document, the 28th Amendment is to Help fix what is wrong with the system, that the founding fathers could not have foreseen.

  • Term Limits for Congress
Over the years, the people have seen the same Congressman over and over again refusing to do what the American people put them in office to do. Congress continues to cater to lobbyists and special interest groups, therefore, they do nothing to help the people who put them in office.

  • The Peoples Good is the Highest Law
One of the primary reasons for the recent financial crisis is that private financial institutions spent over $3 billion in lobbying costs (that were effectively bribes to our federal and state representatives) to make complex financial instruments unregulated that should have, by any measure, been regulated financial instruments. Jefferson said that the people have two enemies; criminals and government; and we must tie down the second with the chains of the US Constitution lest it become a legalized version of the first. The legalized bribery of our represenatives and theft of our government of the people must stop. A government of the people must be restored. The code of every representative of the people must be - The peoples good is the highest law.
