To serve the public, you must know their issues and feel the weight of thier burden. For what elected officials are paid, federal and state; in the past 20 years their pay has gone far beyond the adverage person. And senators & congressmen continue to recieve full pay for life after leaving office. Elected officials should not get paid more than those they represent.

This petition is asking the Secretary of State, Ross Miller, to investigate the funding of negative voting ads aired on television and radio. The citizens and voters in Nevada should know from where the money to finance these ads originates. It is not impossible that foreign interests are funding the ads that contain information that is not true or is misleading.

This petition is about a long standing practice of elected officials having monuments, statues, citations, plaques, etc. delivered in their names because they provided tax payer funds to some institution. "Slush funds" or "Pork Barrel" dispersements to non-profits, education, etc. should be credited to tax payers not their representatives (unless those elected officials can demonstrate that all such funds come from their private bank accounts).

Call for Resignation for all US elected officials that have sinned the Norquist Pledge (taxpayer protection pledge). Call for congressional and DOJ investigation of the Norquist Pledge group and actives to determine the extent of the actives of this group and or possible violation of Law.

We are a people who are sick of the beauty pagent and popularity contest known as american politics. We are sick of parties hiding behind ideals they do not follow, and delivering promices they won't keep. In a parliament, the party is voted in as a whole, based soley on their ideas, and if they fail to lead by those priniciples they are dismissed from their term early and a new election is held.

No American business is tolerating an employee who has pledges to work for a competitor. Such employees are fired on the spot, and with good reason. We Americans are sending our elected representatives to Washington to work for us, but they turn their backs on us and, instead, work for lobbyists and their sponsors. It is time to enact State legislation to enable us to fire our Senators and House Representatives if they act or vote against our express will.

I am a recovering addict and I have several drug felonies and related theft charges. I can not get food stamps to feed myself, an apartment in my name to live in, and I can't get a job very easily due to my convictions. I have been clean from heroin for four years and am currently in college for Substance Abuse Counseling but am struggling. I have gotten lucky and found a couple apartments to rent to me but things became very difficult for me between paying rent and bills and food that I just couldn't keep up with it all. There are so many that expect addicts to get out of prison reformed but the fact is that when we get out no one wants to give us a chance to prove ourselves. So we try for a little while, and after so long we just give up and go back to (for some of us) the only life we have ever known. I have not used in four years, but I have stolen to try to provide shelter and food for myself. It has now been a year since I have committed any crime and I plan on never going back to such a life again. But I need help. We, as recovering addicts just need a little help. Sometimes just a little help can make the biggest difference.

Republicans and Democrats have their heads in the sand when it comes to protecting citizens from guns. Columbine, Virginia Tech, Arizona, Aurora - youth have been hurt more by assault weapons than anyone else- Stand UP and Shout - NO MORE!!! We have to raise our voices louder than the nra -We Can Do It!
