Open hair salons, one client at a time.Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Angie Amstutz

Soft Opening of Hair Salons and Barbershops100% of the Licensed Hair Salons and Barbershops in Pennsylvania have been abruptly shut down since the onset of the Coronavirus quarantine, even though safe measures could have been considered and taken to prevent a total shutdown. Many other businesses, such as certain Cabinet Companies, Ice cream shops, beer stores, coffee shops, etc., were deemed “essential” and left alone to operate, knowing that these businesses would most likely allow for more than one person at a given time to congregate in unsanitary, uncontrolled environments. Also knowing that it is almost impossible for those aforementioned “essential businesses” to host controlled appointments as licensed hair salons and barbershops were immediately capable of doing. I ask that those In agreement petition for all licensed hair salons and barbershops to immediately be one of the first businesses on the list to reopen. So far the petitioning has been very active and positive. I am happy to announce that in the great terms of fairness, several companies, businesses originally given “essential status”, were finally rescinded and closed.....to include The Wolf cabinet company and a candy store owned by a Senate majority leader. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but rather the size of the fight in the dog.64,794 of 75,000 SignaturesCreated by E S

Vice President Elizabeth Ann Warren! With our nation facing a devastating health and financial crisis, we need, in the Office of The Vice President, a woman whose intelligence, tenacity, and integrity is beyond reproach; a woman broadly respected by the Democratic Party; a woman FEARED by the usual suspects, who are already using this crisis for their own enrichment and to further dismantle the laws and regulations which protect: the working class, our most vulnerable citizens, the environment, and everyone’s right to be heard and represented. Elizabeth Ann Warren has the intelligence, heart, and grit we trust and need, at this pivotal moment in our nation’s history. No other Vice-Presidential choice will do! Joe, No matter how high we rise, our time on this Earth is limited, yet the touches of our lives may reach distant generations. The future’s faces will smile more, or less, depending upon the choices you will make as our President. Please help end the stark division in which children smile more, and which smile less. We live in an age of miracles. We can all live happier and healthier lives, and have more cherished moments, with those we love, but we need partnerships of equality and equity to arrive there. That is what we are asking Joe. Stand beside Elizabeth, and together, help heal a nation, and lead the way to more meaningful and rewarding lives for all. God bless you, Sir, the undersigned10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by M. Miller

North Carolina Substitute Teachers Need To Be Paid During The PandemicSubstitute Teachers make up a very important segment of the states schools workforce. If substitutes stop working school districts will eventually be paralyzed trying to fill the gap. Sub Teachers should have the right to write off things like gas, lunches, supplies and insurance. Those rights are being denied because instead of paying on a 1099-Misc that allows those deductions they pay on a W2 effectively telling the IRS we are employees when they continually tell us we're not. The hypocrisy must end!59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by MichaelT Olesko

Elizabeth Warren's Recovery Plan for Generations to ComeThe response for handling the coronavirus outbreak has put a lot of responsibility on states. This needs a Federal response way beyond the ability of any one state. It is the Federal government who can take critical steps to ensure we gain control over this pandemic. Right now our Healthcare system is stretched to the brink. Frontline Workers are walking into dangerous work conditions. These are healthcare workers, transit, grocery, janitors, childcare workers, domestic, delivery, and food processor workers. They do not have proper protective gear, and are not being compensated for working in unsafe conditions. And if they aren't safe, we aren't safe. Huge portions of communities of color are being more hard hit than any other communities. Many of these communities already have high incidents of compromised health and live in communities that are economically devastated. This crisis will widen that gap if we don't make structural changes. We are at an unemployment rate near Depression Era levels. Debt is going to mount high for workers and students if we don't' make large scale policy changes. This is why this isn't just a health issue. This is a moral issue, a medical issue, an economic issue, a legal issue and a voting rights issue. More people will die needlessly if we don't have an immediate federal surge in testing capacity. The Defense Production Act can ensure this happens. We need to manufacture tens of millions of tests, personal protective equipment, drugs that are in shortage, and any future vaccines and treatments when markets fail to do so. This dramatic surge is critical not only to test the sick, but test persons who appear to be healthy but may be asymptomatic and keep detecting it in the population and identify hotspots. This plan is asking for suspending consumer debt collection, moratorium on eviction and foreclosures, stop utility and water shutoffs, student loan debt cancellation, free healthcare for persons who have none, increase Social Security and Disability Benefits. Passage the Essential Workers Bill of Rights that will provide paid family and medical leave, give workers PPE to do job safely, give hazard pay, and all workers kept on payroll even if the need to stay home. Pass federal price gouging and conflict of interest laws. Require full disclosure of lobbying. Lastly, adopt mandatory reforms to ensure everyone can vote safely. Medical Needs, Economic Needs, Protection of Frontline Workers and Workers, Laws to Protect us from Carpetbaggers, Protection of our Voting Rights. These are all the Moral Issues of our time. Tell Congress to take the right path to recovery and a better future for us and future generations by signing Senator Warren's Coronavirus Recovery Plan.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pat Watson

No Post Office--NO TAXESSince the United States, along with most of the world, is in self-quarantine, and there are elections coming up in November, it is of the utmost importance to people's health and safety that they not face long voting lines and possibly unintended infections passed on by the proximity to possible carriers, causing more victims and the possible death of thousands. With the safety of every person in these United States as paramount, the Post Office must remain open as a possibility for safe voting, not to satisfy one person's selfish goals, including the President.147 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Joyce Korbin
