Limit gun possession by abusers in South CarolinaThe House is considering a bill, already passed by the Senate, to prohibit anyone with a restraining order against them or anyone convicted of criminal domestic violence from ownership of a firearm for 5 to 10 years, depending on the severity of their crime. This is a necessary, common-sense step to protect domestic violence victims from further harm.48 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Frank Tedards

Protect the domestically abused from gun violence and their abusers.I feel strongly that we need to do as much as we can to protect victims of domestic abuse from becoming murder victims, as well. We read all too often of entire families being murdered before the abuser commits suicide.65 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marna Foss

Concealed weapons everywhere? Really? To feel safe in my community and everywhere I must go to go about my daily business, it is essential for our community, our state and our country to be safer. We need to focus on making our lives free of fear. Please join me in working to make our families safer in this era of lack of equality and justice brought on by decades of neglect of our Congress and the Executive branch.56 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joy Sayler

Please STOP allowing no permit to carry concealed weapons.I'm a single Mom. I live in a "city" in New Hampshire. We are not in a metro here. The New Hampshire Senate passed Senate Bill 116, which would repeal the licensing requirement for carrying a concealed pistol or revolver. In other words, you could carry a concealed weapon without a permit. Sen. Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry, said, "This bill recognizes that the simple act of putting on a coat should not require a permit from the state." Really?! How is that to same? Please sign this to send a message that we want gun safety in New Hampshire--not the opposite! Gov. Hassan must follow through on her commitment to veto this dangerous bill.763 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Jodi Gilman Jones

No Guns in Our ParksFrom the years of (1981 -2010) there have been 112,375 infants, children, and teens killed by firearms. It was predicted in a recent article that this number would skyrocket dramatically sometime within this year of 2015, if stricter gun control laws don't get created and persist. Recently a new bill has been proposed to allow firearms to be carried in Tennessee parks and even on playgrounds where there will be nothing but innocent lives hanging in the balance. It has to stop, stand with me and millions of others to innovate the future and get stricter gun control laws made now.58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Akira

Keep Silencers Off the Streets and Don't Weaken Our Gun LawAs early as noon on Thursday, the Minnesota Senate could vote to legalize silencers and weaken our pistol permit law. Minneapolis has "shot spotter" technology to locate the source of gunshots. Gun lobbyists are claiming, with no evidence, that shot spotters won't be impacted by the use of silencers. At the same time, they want to weaken our pistol permit law to honor permits from any state with a "similar" rather than "substantially similar" law, a vague and lower standard.456 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Heather Martens
