  • Support a Pathway to Citizenship
I would like for my representative to Congress, Howard Coble, to support bringing comprehensive immigration reform to a vote. I believe all human beings should be treated in a decent manner and should not be exploited. The current situation is indecent and leaves immigrants vulnerable to exploitation.

  • Tell Congresswoman Judy Chu to support a discharge petition for comprehensive immigration reform!
Comprehensive immigration reform is dying a slow death in Congress because House Speaker Boehner—who has the power to demand an up-or-down vote on the reform bill—refuses to get out of the way.Bnut there is a simple way that Democrats can bypass Boehner and save immigration reform. They can introduce the Senate bill, which passed with broad bipartisan support, then use a discharge petition to force an up-or-down vote in the House of Representatives.  A discharge petition is the most viable option to pass comprehensive immigration reform this fall. It only takes 218 votes to file a discharge petition—that's every Democrat in Congress and 17 Republicans. Support for the discharge petition is growing in the media and among members of Congress. Millions of hard working families are waiting for the opportunity to have a path to legalization. As a proud American citizen and former undocumented immigrant legalized under the 1986 Amnesty, I support them and want them to know the American Dream is alive and well in 2013! Please join me in asking Representative Judy Chu to support a discharge petition for comprehensive immigration reform!

  • Representative Ruben Hinojosa support a discharge petition for comprehensive immigration reform
The Senate passed a strong comprehensive immigration reform bill. Immigration reform will strengthen our economy, keep families together, and offer a clear roadmap to citizenship for nearly 11 million tax-paying, aspiring Americans. As a child of immigrant parents, I want to see an immigration reform law passed this year, which is supported by the majority of Americans. The time is now.

  • Pedro should not be separated from his family!
Pedro, a father of four from Elyria, Ohio, is scheduled to be deported this week -- but there is still time for you to help keep him home with his family. Pedro is the primary caregiver for his stepson, Juan, who has cerebral palsy and is entirely dependent upon others to take care of his basic needs. Pedro was a firefighter in Mexico and came to the United States over 10 years ago in search of a job, and built his life with with his wife, Seleste, in Elyria. He has a kind heart and he is exactly the sort of person America should welcome with open arms, not expel. Please sign this petition to stop Pedro's deportation -- Pedro is counting on you. According to policies set by President Obama, there are multiple reasons Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should stop Pedro's deportation – reasons the local ICE office has ignored: He has resided in the U.S. for many years. He is married to a U.S. citizen. He is father of four U.S. citizens. He is the “primary caretaker of a person with a mental or physical disability.” ICE already ignored these factors once: they deported Pedro earlier this year, after the Border Patrol mysteriously showed up at his home when he was returning from his son’s daycare. Pedro returned to the United States because he knew that his family was suffering without him and needed his help—everyone in the family, but especially Juan. Now, ICE is preparing to make the wrong decision again. Pedro is currently being held by ICE in a local county jail, and could be deported this week. When Congress passes immigration reform, Pedro may qualify for immigration status and eventually citizenship. This is all the more reason for ICE to step in now and grant Pedro deferred action until Congress can finish its job. Help keep Pedro with his family: Please contact ICE today.

  • Tell Representative Huffman: Introduce a comprehensive immigration reform bill and support a disc...
The Senate passed a strong comprehensive immigration reform bill. The House is stalling. Immigration reform will strengthen our economy, keep families together and offer a clear road map to citizenship for nearly 11 million tax-paying aspiring Americans. As an American citizen, I want legislators to stand up on the right side of history and side with the majority of Americans who understand that we need comprehensive immigration reform now.

  • Tell Rep. Frank Wolf to support immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship
In America we believe that everyone is equal, period. But that's not how our current immigration system works. Under our current immigration laws, immigrants currently living in the US without papers have no way to fix their immigration status and pursue the rights obtained through citizenship. These immigrants -- many of whom are American in every way but on paper -- are doomed to a life in shadows. They are prevented from doing things many US citizens take for granted, like driving, working, applying for credit cards, and even from visiting sick family members overseas. The Senate just passed an immigration bill that will would fix this tragedy by creating a pathway to citizenship for these 11 million Americans without papers. Through this pathway, students, workers, family members, and even some immigrants with deportation orders under the previous broken system would finally be allowed to pursue their American dream and eventual citizenship. Advocates have been fighting for these reforms for years, and we have never seen a better chance for making these dreams a reality. But some anti-immigrant members of Congress -- lead by legislators like Rep. Steve King -- are trying to kill reform by destroying the path to citizenship and promoting inhumane policies that would keep these 11 million people in the shadows so they "self-deport." Our movement has reached a tipping point and we need your help to finish the job. We need you to tell Rep. Frank Wolf to support immigration reform with the pathway to citizenship, now more than ever. It's time for Congress to pass this bill. Please tell your representative to vote YES on immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million Americans without papers.

  • Rep. Fudge don't let immigration reform die a slow death
The Senate passed a strong, comprehensive immigration reform bill, but House Speaker Boehner refuses to let it come to a vote. Current immigration policy divides children from their parents, especially their fathers. Immigration reform will keep families together, strengthen our economy, and offer a clear path to American citizenship for nearly 11 million tax-paying individuals. As an American citizen descended from immigrant ancestors, who weren't always welcome in their day, I believe our legislators should stand up for these vulnerable people who have risked everything to come to the "land of opportunity." The majority of Americans believe that we need comprehensive immigration reform NOW. Stand up with them as we stand up for the immigrants of our day.
