• Tell Home Depot: Stop cooperating with ICE!
Home Depot locations have recently been the site of cruel ICE raids and roundups, targeting day laborers who are just trying to work. In August, Carlos Roberto Montoya, a native of Guatemala, was struck by a vehicle and killed while fleeing an ICE raid at a Home Depot in California. His death was the direct result of Home Depot's allowing ICE to operate on its property. Home Depot has the power and responsibility to stop this now. As a private company, it can deny ICE access to its stores and parking lots unless agents have a warrant. And in an industry built by immigrant workers, Home Depot is in a unique position to take a stand for the people who make its business possible. We’re calling on Home Depot to: • Publicly condemn ICE raids targeting workers and day laborers • Deny ICE agents access to its stores and parking lots without a warrant • Protect all customers and workers from ICE actions Support these demands by adding your name to the petition now!

  • Demand Action Against ICE
The recent declaration of emergency acknowledges the state of our community and what so many in our community have long known and lived: that Federal Immigration Enforcement has turned into a state sanctioned terror group, causing fear, anxiety and economic hardship on vulnerable neighbors in our community.  As stated in the declaration itself:  “These immigrant neighbors, coworkers, and classmates are a vital piece of the fabric of the Washington County community,” the declaration adds. “Recent data from the State of Oregon shows a significant negative impact to immigrant’s health and well-being such as anxiety, sleeplessness, or worsening health due to fear of being targeted, detained, or simply looking or sounding like an immigrant; and … increased immigration enforcement within Washington County has caused residents to fear leaving their homes to go to work, school, take public transportation, access County services, and attend medical appointments; and other necessary daily activities.” We need the support of our community members to encourage our law enforcement to protect the citizens of Forest Grove, Cornelius and Hillsboro from the aggressive, unconstitutional and lawless abuses committed by ICE agents. We need everyone - neighbors, elected officials and law enforcement - to come together to affirm our belief in the Constitution, rule of law, and the safety and dignity of residents and families.

  • Unilever: Stop silencing Ben & Jerry’s ice cream NOW!
When we sold Ben & Jerry’s to Unilever in 2000, the corporation set up an independent board so Ben & Jerry’s could continue its political statements and social justice work without corporate interference. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. It’s no surprise that all of this is happening at a time when our country’s current administration is attacking Black and brown communities, civil rights, voting rights, the rights of immigrants, women, and the LGBTQIA+ community.  Sticking up for the values of justice, equity, and our shared humanity has never been more important—and yet Ben & Jerry’s has been silenced, sidelined for fear of upsetting those in power. It’s easy to stand up and speak out when there’s nothing at risk. The real test of values is when times are challenging and you have something to lose. And we can do something about it. Join us by signing our petition demanding that Unilever stop silencing Ben & Jerry’s and be entered to win a free pint of my sorbet. Then, send it to three friends to spread the word. No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter to win. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by 11:00 p.m. on December 5, 2025. You may enter by signing the petition here. Alternatively, you can enter without signing the petition. 5 winners will each receive the following prize package: 1 pint of Ben’s pro-ceasefire sorbet, maximum cash value not to exceed $50. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Promotion open to all U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia and 18 or older (or of majority under applicable law). • Hold Catholic Memorial High School Accountable for Unjust Polices and Stop the Donations Now!!!!!!
Immigration is at the forefront of current events.  The constant change in our political environment has created an atmosphere of fear based on the lack of knowledge about the legitimacy of identifying ICE agents.  Now there are a few concerns with the issue at hand: 1. Although it was a false claim of ICE agents, we do not know for sure who is and who isn't ICE agents, and they have been terrorizing citizens and immigrants during this administration.   Therefore, erring on the side of safety was the best course of action to protect my constituents. 2.  Contrary to the statements of Pope Leo XIV and Archbishop Grob, as recently as October 5th, 2025 at the Jubilee of Migrants and the Jubilee of Missions, Catholic Memorial chose to terminate Alderman Rico Camacho, disregarding the Catholic doctrine that has been set forth 3.  Brian Dorrow, Ceo at SRU (Secure Resources Unlimited) and husband of elected official and sitting judge Jennifer Dorrow, informed Alderman Rico Camacho that he would "escalate" the situation in a phone conversation regarding the post and subsequent apology. Over a situation that created minimal risk to his employees, per his statements to The Waukesha Freeman. 4. The post Alderman Camacho made was as a private citizen as the City Attorney verified with his office.   5. It was based on a public concern due to the political climate on immigration in the United States; especially, since the violence is in Chicago which is near to the city.  Which causes concern again about retaliating based on a whi 6. • Permanently close the Irwin County Detention Center!
More than 40 women testified in 2021 to medical misconduct at the Irwin County Detention Center (ICDC), and an investigation by the Senate found alarming reports of mistreatment by Dr. Mahendra Amin—who was not a board-certified OB-GYN—at ICDC and a failure by ICE and the private group operating the detention center to appropriately oversee the medical providers hired or intervene when complaints were made.  The Senate review committee found that Dr. Amin was "aggressive" and "inappropriate" and that his medical treatments were substandard. Many of the women subject to Dr. Amin’s harm report continued physical pain and uncertainty regarding their fertility.  It is abhorrent that dozens of women were subjected to these abuses under LaSalle Corrections' care.  It is abhorrent that Dr. Amin continues to practice in Southeast Georgia. And it's abhorrent that ICE has decided to reopen ICDC despite its traumatic and shameful history.  Add your name to the petition to say NO to resuming jailing immigrants at the Irwin County Detention Center and demand its closure once and for all!

  • Tell Congress: NO ICE Raids
In the dead of night, armed federal agents in military fatigues raided a Chicago apartment building, breaking down doors and pulling hundreds of people — many of them children — from their homes, where agents detained them, zip-tied, for hours. Across the city, agents have been indiscriminately teargassing crowds of people, despite court orders. This is the horrifying reality of Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE). These military-style raids aren’t making our communities safer. Families are afraid to go outside, with increased reports of people keeping their kids out of school, skipping medical appointments, and staying home from work. Some members of Congress are already calling for an end to ICE’s reign of terror and introducing legislation to protect immigrants. But we need to build and strengthen a majority of lawmakers willing to take action in response to the horrors we’re witnessing to end these raids and keep people safe. The most effective way to do that? A massive wave of public pressure from constituents like you.

  • Release Daniel from ICE detention Immediately
Across the country and here in Oregon, immigrants are being torn from their families and locked in detention centers where they face inhumane conditions, lack of food, medical care, and basic dignity. These cages aren’t about safety; they're about control, profit, and criminalizing our communities. We demand the immediate release of Daniel, a loved and valued member of our community, and an end to the cruel and unjust system that continues to detain immigrants across the state. Immigrants are the backbone of Oregon. They are our teachers, healthcare workers, caregivers, and essential workers contributing millions to our economy and enriching every part of our society. This isn’t just about one person. It’s about dignity, justice, and freedom for all. This demand is backed by a growing coalition of organizations that stand united in calling for Daniel’s immediate release and an end to inhumane immigrant detention: Organizations  • Latinos Unidos Siempre (LUS) • La Resistencia  • American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) • Centro de servicios para campesinos  • PCUN • Capaces • International migrants alliance (IMA) These groups represent communities across Oregon and beyond, including immigrant rights advocates, faith leaders, healthcare professionals, educators, and human rights defenders.

  • Stop ICE from expanding operations in Broadview in a 200,000 sq ft. Warehouse. "HOUSE OF HELL"
The current building 1930 Beach Street is restricted to be inspected for Inhumane practices by Illinois Congressional Leaders. Chicago Sun-Times reports, “U.S. Sens. Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin, both Illinois Democrats, on Friday requested a tour of the Broadview ICE facility that has drawn heated protest for weeks, but they were denied entry,(2025, Armentrout). If ICE occupies the current 5000 square foot building and has DENIED entry for routine inspections, how much more would a 200,000 square ft building occupied by ICE would be even worst to inspect. • Tell mayors: Follow Chicago’s lead and keep ICE off our streets!
For years, ICE has relied on local governments to make its operations easier, using city resources, property, and even police partnerships to detain and deport our neighbors. Mayor Johnson’s new executive order creates ICE-free zones by prohibiting federal immigration authorities from using city-owned property to stage or carry out ICE raids, including parking lots, garages, vacant lots, and Chicago Public Schools property. "Our school parking lots are not for ICE to load their weapons. They are for Chicago, who drop their kids off to learn," Johnson said. "Our libraries are not for ICE to prepare for a raid. They're for Chicagoans to read and relax. Our Parks are not for ICE to set up checkpoints. They're for Chicagoans to play and enjoy." Mayor Johnson’s order makes clear that city resources should serve residents, not federal immigration enforcement. Every city in America should be protecting immigrant families, not helping deport them.  Add your name to call on mayors across the country to follow Chicago’s lead and block ICE from using city property for immigration enforcement.
