• Bike Racks for our Parks!
As a cyclist, I am concerned that we aren't making it easy enough for beginning bikers and families and seniors to bike in NYC. One of the biggest obstacles to getting on a bike is having a place to lock it securely once you arrive at your destination. The parks in our neighborhood (Central Park, Riverside Park, Morningside Park and others) don't have any bike racks and that leaves cyclists without a place to park once they get to the park!

  • Cambria heights needs a place for dogs to run
We live in a dog friendly neighborhood with an abundance of family dogs which we as dogs lovers walk daily. Cambria heights is surrounded by parks which all prohibit dogs, why? Please help & support the cambria heights neighborhood to unleash the chains to our furry family members to a dog park right here in Cambria heights.

  • Metro-Cards For Suffolk County Transit
Passengers of the Suffolk County Transit & NICE Buses would like to have later hours on bus runs(until Midnight). Some people who ride the SCT & NICE Buses work late hours and do not have the SCT or NICE Buses running late for them to get home, and have to pay over $10.00 just to get home by cabs. With that I feel that SCT & NICE buses are losing passengers this way, just as well when the SCT buses are constantly running 15-20 minutes late when people are trying to get to work on time or getting home in time if they have children to get off the school bus.

  • Upon a birth of a healthy baby born to a Biological Mother, there must be true evidence of abuse ...
To many false allegation's go unproven and the children get adopted out anyway! I lost my Daughter to false allegation's and plenty others through the years 1984- 1987 and many others.till now Thing's just keep getting worse instead of better we need our infant babies to stay with their Biological Mothers! This Government Agency won't let any Biological Parent keep any baby born to them after a social worker falsifies papers and makes the adoption legal! it's unfair. Not to mention not good for a healthy baby to be placed away from the Biological Mother! Please put a stop to this injustice!

Joe Buck is a terrible, biased announcer. He needs to be stopped. There are tens of thousands of people who are absolutely fed up with his biased reporting, together we can SHUT THE BUCK UP!! As Phil Mushnick from the NY Post said: Fox World Series Coverage is so painful to the senses. http://nypost.com/2014/10/24/why-foxs-world-series-coverage-is-so-painful-to-the-senses/

Apparently someone complained about the artwork I did on the makeshift memorial where my sister was struck and killed by a car in August of 2004. The Massachusetts DOT sent my family a letter notifying us that it would be removed.

  • Greenbelt Homes, Inc. (GHI): First Things First and HIP Later
The GHI Board of Directors will soon vote on the Homes Improvement Program (HIP) and what to put to the members for final decision. They are considering which aspects of HIP to require for the entire cooperative, and which to allow members to choose for their own units. The HIP proposal includes several items, such as insulation and bathroom exhaust fans. The proposal is not covered by reserve funds, will require a loan and result in an increase in member monthly fees. Replacement of doors and windows in all homes and siding in frame homes is already planned and budgeted under replacement reserve funds and does not require a member vote. Recently a Buildings Committee task force on crawl spaces released a report on major problems including standing water, sump pump failure, grading issues, and pests. The scope and cost of the issues are unknown. Crawl space remediation is necessary before envelope upgrades could begin. As concerned residents, we feel it is crucial for other members to understand and act on this issue. Let the Board know how you feel! Sign the petition, email and write the Board, and attend meetings. Please share the petition link with neighbors. • SAVE HALLOWEEN FOR OUR KIDS
A majority of townspeople find it totally unfair that Halloween has been canceled at the two schools that have always celebrated. It seems that this decision was made to appease the minority. It is clear this decision was made by the BOE only, without input from the majority. Halloween is a tradition and a fun holiday for children. it is important that our children learn diversity, tradition and other cultures, this is all part of their education. We all strongly feel that Halloween should be maintained, celebrated and shared. Promoting tolerance does not mean abandoning mainstream customs and traditions. Based upon the reasons for canceling Halloween, will Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Valentines day all be canceled also? This is a valid concern based upon the BOE's decision for Halloween. This subject has been aired over the media and on national news. Please accept this petition as a strong statement from all those who have respectively signed.
