Citizen's Wolf Recovery VisionBeautiful, strong, and wild, America’s wolves once ranged across most of the United States. More than a symbol of wilderness, wolves have kept nature in balance and have helped maintain healthy populations of other important species. But centuries of hunting, trapping, and poisoning, and a government-sponsored eradication campaign, had essentially eliminated wolves from the American landscape. Today, thanks to the Endangered Species Act, wolves are finally beginning to recover in wild places and are once again a vital part of America’s natural heritage. Yet the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has no plans to restore wolves to substantial areas of wilderness where they once lived. And, even more disturbing, FWS no longer wants to protect wolves as an endangered species. We have a responsibility to use the best available science to leave behind a legacy of protecting all endangered species for our children and future generations. We are gravely concerned that actions by state and federal agencies aim to undermine wolf recovery.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Endangered Species Coalition

AT&T cell tower on Milford and 10 Mile RoadAccording to Lyon Township proposal AP-14-45b, AT&T Wireless Tower would like Special Land Use for the property located on the northwest corner of 10 Mile and Milford Road (Shoppes of Lyon). Public hearing to consider a special land use request to allow a proposed 140’ monopole tower; discussion and possible action. We need to band together and STOP this from being erected near our homes! It will be detrimental to our home/property value, potentially hurting the increasing value of our NEW homes. And not to mention It will be a 140 foot tall unappealing tower that will be clearly visible from everywhere. Please sign the petition, the Final Hearing is on November 5th, 2014 at the Lyon Township hall. If you can make the meeting, That would be even better.195 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Lisa

Amend the US Constitution to require citizens to vote.Voter turn out is embarrassingly low. Often election results do not reflect the general consensus. People are led to think their vote does not count, so they don't vote and are unhappy with the outcome. It is everyone's civic duty to vote. Many countries have compulsory voting. It's time we introduce it here before our elections are 100% bought/sold.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jasmine Dahlby

Don't Allow Her to Rent: Abusive LandlordDon't allow Ms. Thomas abuse any more people by letting her rent. She will call the police on a 2 year old child for walking through the front entrance, she will unplug your electricity, she will come into your home when you're not there, she will go into your car just to see what you are up to, she will put paint on your washing clothes, she will turn your water off if you shower more than 3.5 minutes. She's even pushed and hit her tenants for not putting the garbage out. 43 Woodbridge Avenue in East Hartford. Remove All Hate Speech including "Virgin Mary Should've Aborted" from FacebookFacebook is failing to live up to its obligations under its terms of service. It is failing to prevent the platform being used to spread hate and take it viral. Example of clear antisemitism that were reported to Facebook have now been reviewed by them and they have decided not to take any action. The picture of Anne Frank with the text "Whats that burning? Oh, my it's my family" is just one outragous example which was reported to Facebook only for the complaint to be dismissed. The company is letting down the Facebook community, that is us, the people. More details at: http://ohpi.org.au/?p=286 We demand Facebook immediately: 1. Shutdown the pages “Controversial-Humor-Jewish-Memes” (ID# 389407607793765 ) and “Holocaust”(ID #307998715931777) 2. Ban the users who created these pages in response to their promotion of hate speech 3. Competently review all complaints about racist pages that have been rejected We ask that Facebook: 1. Change the way reports regarding pages are managed. Pages should use the same “Support Dashboard” as complaints for photos, timelines and profiles. 2. Investigate how the complaints about the images shown at http://ohpi.org.au/?p=286 were rejected 3. Implement better training processes for staff managing complaints 4. Implement ongoing regular systematic audits of complaints processed by front line staff Hate speech can target either a person or a group of people. It includes speech targeting all people of a particular race, nationality, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, sexuality, gender identity, gender, or on the basis of a medical condition or disability. Facebook’s terms of service, the “Statement of Rights and Responsibilities”, clearly state: “You will not post content that: is hate speech”. Facebook must act to remove the hate.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Trevor J. Vanderlan

Express Bus stops needed in Park SlopePark Slope has no mass transit access for the aging and disabled. Therefore, the only way for residents to go to appointments in Manhattan, including doctor, family , educational and cultural visits, usually requires that they drive or take car service. This increases environmental pollution thus negating an important goal of urban living. In addition , it is an added expense to this population many of whom live on fixed budgets and must deal with the costs of living in New York ,one of the most expensive cities in the USA.121 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Alice Sandgrund

Revitalize and Restore East Baltimore CommunityThe 2000 E Biddle Street vacant properties have been a hub for drug use, homelessness, and temporary dump site of materials. As our Mayor has requested, these sites are to be revitalized to support more green communities, with beauty and safety as the top priority. These buildings are not doing neither and should be demolished.35 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Shajuania Stovall

Stop Unfair Implementation of School Zone Speed CamerasWe, the undersigned, wish to express our concern regarding the recently enacted policy of photo-video enforcement of speed limits in Nassau County school zones. While we appreciate the intention to increase safety, we question the fairness of the way in which this policy has been implemented. Engineering and education should always precede enforcement. Specifically, there has been a sudden computerized enforcement of school zone speed limits that have rarely, if ever, been enforced before. This has resulted in multiple, though unintentional and unknowing, violations and huge fines. This does not constitute fairness or due process. In the interest of compassion, a warning would be more appropriate for first-time offenders, as well as for those who may have committed multiple violations in a very short period, but were informed of the first one and subsequent ones only weeks later. We agree with Judy Jacobs, who has called for the County Executive to "stop the program cold, now, and reassess how to continue in a fair and equitable way." We, therefore, petition the Legislature for a moratorium, and the courts for leniency, in the administration of fines and penalties assessed under this new policy, until a fair and compassionate system can be put into operation.657 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Leonard J.
