  • SAVE HALLOWEEN FOR OUR KIDS
A majority of townspeople find it totally unfair that Halloween has been canceled at the two schools that have always celebrated. It seems that this decision was made to appease the minority. It is clear this decision was made by the BOE only, without input from the majority. Halloween is a tradition and a fun holiday for children. it is important that our children learn diversity, tradition and other cultures, this is all part of their education. We all strongly feel that Halloween should be maintained, celebrated and shared. Promoting tolerance does not mean abandoning mainstream customs and traditions. Based upon the reasons for canceling Halloween, will Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Valentines day all be canceled also? This is a valid concern based upon the BOE's decision for Halloween. This subject has been aired over the media and on national news. Please accept this petition as a strong statement from all those who have respectively signed.

Apparently someone complained about the artwork I did on the makeshift memorial where my sister was struck and killed by a car in August of 2004, and the Massachusetts DOT sent my family a letter notifying us that it would be removed.

  • IRS: Investigate Tax-Exempt Support for West Bank Settlements
As U.S. officials like Secretary of State John Kerry have stated, Israeli settlements in the West Bank are one of the greatest obstacles to achieving a diplomatic agreement to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service [IRS] and the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control [OFAC] have been permissive of private U.S. financial support for Israeli settlements that the U.S. government officially opposes; ironically, even more permissive than Israeli law. [1] The fact that financial supporters of the settlements have abused U.S. tax law has been documented by the New York Times. [2] It’s time for U.S. policy to change. The IRS and OFAC have the legal authority to act. Urge the Administration to investigate abuse of U.S. tax law by financial supporters of West Bank settlements by signing our petition. • President Berkman: Don't allow Taxpayers' Money to be used Frivolously
We feel our friend and family member, Shana, R.N., from Ohio, is being targeted for filing a lawsuit against Cleveland State University in 2013. We have information that leads us to believe that a state employee or employees (protected by the State) are behind a complaint made to the State of Ohio Board of Nursing (members assigned by the State Governor); which could have severe consequences on Shana's nursing career and license, earned at another University. We feel this recent action has only occurred because of the filing of the 2013 lawsuit. Our tax dollars, paid to support State Agencies (ex. Ohio Board of Nursing), should not be used to settle what appears to be a personal vendetta between State employees and a former CSU student. Information about the lawsuit can be found at the 'Court of Claims of Ohio' Website: Case # 2012-03425 and Case # 2013-00025

  • Bringing the Buffalo Braves back home!
Our group feels that many people in the city of Buffalo would love to have an NBA team in our city and the Buffalo Braves back home. Not only would many people like to have the team back, but Buffalo is on the rise economically right now. Bringing the Braves back to an already flourishing city would be a great idea.

  • Stop testing products on animals... Stop animal cruelty!
My petition is about stopping animal product testing. This testing affects everyone personally. Animals cannot speak for themselves, but they feel pain and have emotion just like people. We say it is inhumane to experiment on humans. It is also inhumane to experiment on animals. We want to give animals a voice!
