Nobody deserves to live on a chain. Right now there are many animals alive but not living, outside but not playing, animals who know sunlight but not warmth. Isolated in backyards, in the elements, attacks from animals and people, and perhaps worst of all solitary confinement. There needs to be stricter regulations to keep animals safe. Walk into most shops downtown and you'll find the owner behind the counter. We welcome smart growth and responsible development- anything else simply doesn't fit.

The bull terrier was once named America's nanny in the 50's and 60's. The idea that a certain breed can be blamed for the actions of its owners is an idea I see as inhumane and barbaric. The amount of pit bulls being put down in the Kansas, KCMO area is sky rocketing because these loving animals aren't raised in the homes of good families due to stereotypes and the law. Similar to the cycle of poverty the bull terrier is stuck in a cycle. When you make a breed illegal, you have destined them to end up in impoverished and more aggressive homes. If you remove the ban on the breed, you will see the number of pit bulls in shelters and euthanizations drop dramatically. The terrier will be able to thrive again much like they did in the 50's and 60's because the environment they are placed supports their best behavior. I have worked with pit bulls and own two myself. Everywhere we go people who aren't familiar with the breed seem to be shocked. To me, it's ridiculous how people can't see that humans have trained certain pit bulls to be dangerous, and encouraged bad behavior by not allowing it to be in the hands of good people. How unfair is that?

I have not received my paycheck from this company. It has been over a month now and they are still not releasing our checks. They have my direct deposit information but I still don't have the payment in my account. Today, I visted the office and was told to wait outside the building for the HR management. Me and this other young lady waited there for over an hour in the cold. No one came out to tell us anything about the status of our checks or any information regarding the matter. Few hours later their security guard comes out and tells us that we may have to come back the next day because they weren't gonna help us. I asked only to know the status of my check or if there was a number I could call to help me with my issue, but he says the HR told him they have nothing to tell me and they don't know what to tell me about my check. I am writing this petition because this is not the first time this happened. And I know going back tomorrow will not change anything unless some higher authority other than the employees can help in this matter. Please hear my petition.

This show is great and has had amazing impact on myself and all of my classmates. I am also supporting local actors and the fact that this show creates jobs! Its family friendly and we need to put family back into television!

My wife and I consider Keyla to be our daughter. She is 15 and suffers from life threatening seizures. We have a lawsuit to be reunited with her. This is a humanitarian request to let my wife help Keyla.

In 2010 we refinanced under the HARP. Since then mortgage rates have dropped significantly, however per HARP's rules we can only refinance once under their program. There are many responsible homeowners like us who deserve a break. Allow us to refinance more than once.

Because we think it's unfair that kids can't express their feelings and be free! We are two 9 (almost 10) year old girls and we want our own TV channel, but the process is hard. Kids should be able to have their own stations, so kids should be creative! What if a kid has a lot of news stories or wants to start a talk show? Kids should be able to set up stations. Elizabeth Lauten's thoughtless, cruel, vile and hateful comments directed towards two young teenage girls and their appearance is just wrong on so many levels. Young teenage girls all over the country are struggling with peer pressure and scrutiny in regards to how they look and dress. No one deserves to be attacked in the cruel manner Sasha and Malia Obama were by this "professional" woman that is supposed to be a "Director of Communications." When did attacking young girls become okay? Fire her now! Stand up for Sasha, Malia and all young girls who are judged and attacked based on their appearance alone.

We support our nations armed forces and veterans. Congress is quick to send our armed forces in harm's way but slow to take care of their needs. They look for every opportunity to cut education, jobs for veterans and their retirement. We demand our elected officials stand up for our active service members and the veterans of this country.

The Boulevard Cafe has been serving the neighborhood of West Grand Boulevard for 30 years. They are beautiful people and we would hate to see them leave our area.

Even though dogs technically don't have rights in the government, this is discrimination against a specific breed. It's either all dogs or none. My house recently burned down and I was forced to look for a place to rent, and in Muskegon that's nearly impossible. I have been forced to get rid of my baby pit bull, Amber. She is the cutest, most loving dog I've ever met. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. But no renters care; the second they hear 'pit bull' they deny me. Help me not only change laws of discrimination, but change people's hearts and expand their minds.
