My Homeowners association, Courtyards at Avalon, filed foreclosure proceedings for .47 cents, and now the HOA's attorney is claiming attorney's fees exceeding $8400 from February of 2013. HOA can foreclose faster, has more rights over your property than you and your lenders. The HOA and their attorney's can file defective liens with the intent to steal your property and the legislators allow this due to the vague and ambiguous language of the Florida Statute governing Condominiums and HOA (720). There needs to be a change to the Statute to protect homeowners.

In an interview published on Monday Sept. 23 in the Wall Street Journal, AIG CEO Robert Benmosche claimed that the criticism aimed at AIG for awarding its employees bonuses after it and other Wall Street firms crashed the economy and were rewarded with bailouts was "intended to stir public anger, to get everybody out there with their pitch forks and their hangman nooses, and all that–sort of like what we did in the Deep South [decades ago]. And I think it was just as bad and just as wrong." Aside from its shocking insensitivity, this statement reveals the insularity, arrogance, and breathtaking entitlement that pervades Wall Street institutions. These attitudes, when combined with their economic and political power, led to the Wall Street bankers’ criminal behavior that destroyed our economy and stole our homes. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) put Benmosche’s words in stark context on Tuesday Sept 24 saying, “[A]s the son of sharecroppers who actually experienced lynchings in their communities—I find it unbelievably appalling that Mr. Benmosche equates the violent repression of the African American people with congressional efforts to prevent the waste of taxpayer dollars. If these statements are true, I believe he has demonstrated a fundamental inability to lead this modern global company in a responsible manner—a company that exists today only because it was rescued by the American taxpayers—and that he should resign his position as CEO immediately.” We could not agree more. We call on AIG CEO Robert Benmosche to apologize clearly and unequivocally, especially to African Americans and members of communities that have been targets of racial violence, and to resign his position as CEO of a firm that only exists today thanks to an $85 billion bailout. As someone with an "invisible" handicap, I know the importance of the Guest Assistance Program when visiting Disney. This change will make visits less magical and more difficult to guests with handicaps and their families. Many people will not be able to enjoy going or even be able to go to the parks because of this change Disney has decided to make.

Aventura Mall management are presently estimating a 6:00AM-7:00AM opening time on Friday, November 29, 2013, wrongly believing that the demographic of shoppers who most frequent the The Mall won't be enticed to shop during these extended Black Friday shopping hours. This is simply not the case, and doesn't benefit Mall tenants, employees, or the community.

It is her place and now their despicable actions will hurt my chances to take her there and diminish the chances she enjoys it the way I know she deserves.

My name is Laine Scheuble and I was involved in a very serious accident on this currently two-way intersection with non-stop traffic running North, and South. While the stop runs East and West. This is less than a block from Spectrum High School which is 6-12 and I want no one from this school to ever have even the slightest possibility to get into an accident like I did.

This man should be inducted. He was the first Rock N Roll teen idol. The Partridge Family was Music TV. David's outstanding voice and memorable recordings have meant a great deal to many people over four decades. His musical contributions have been, and continue to be, a crucial, special and important part of rock culture. The energy and excitement around his work has allowed him to be at the forefront of the industry for more than 40 years. There is something magical that happens when a star like David emerges, when something or someone captures the imagination of millions of people. It is something that goes beyond a hit record: it touches the world musically and culturally. David was at the epicentre of this, certainly in the 1970s when the whole world went crazy for him and his exceptional singing voice, and he has been an artist not just of the 70s, but the 80s, 90s and the 2000s. No one, least of all David himself, expected that level of success but talent will always shine through. It will always last. In each decade he has been completely in tune with the times and in the 1970s was the most popular and idolised solo performer worldwide in the history of popular music. You can wait around and hope but you will never see the likes of David Cassidy again. Musically, his influence on other artists, the quality of his work, the variety of the David Cassidy Songbook, his constant desire to be creative complemented by the leading writers and musicians he has worked with "many actually asked to work with him“ is testament to how much his peers value his work. As a solo artist David has written and performed what have become some of the greatest rock songs and entertained millions across the world with his electric, spellbinding concerts. All his music, be it the voice of the PF or from his solo albums, are constantly played proof they are standing the test of time. David has written, and sung, everything from ballads to rock, jazz to pop and while his musical work on Broadway, London's West End, and Las Vegas along with his composition of TV themes cannot be underestimated showing his incredible versatility, it is his unique contribution to rock and roll, which is what this is all about. His fan base worldwide was bigger at its height in the 1970s than those of Elvis and The Beatles, and there remains a loyal fan base. That says a great deal about his appeal and popularity, of course, but his longevity in the business is unlikely to be matched by many of today's solo artists. It would be just fitting, and so right, for a great American such as David, to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame where his part in rock history can be cemented. Historically, David's contribution to music over the past 40 years, has to be recognized.

My name is Rafiq ur Rehman and I am a schoolteacher from Pakistan. In 2012, a United States drone killed my 67 year-old Mother, Momina, while she was working in the field picking vegetables. The drone that killed my mother also injured my children. After sharing my story with Robert Greenwald for his upcoming film, Unmanned, I was invited to testify in front of members of Congress about the impact that drone strikes have had on my family and the people of Pakistan. My two children and I were issued visas within days of applying, but our lawyer and liaison, Shahzad Akbar has been placed in ‘administrative processing’ and is not being issued a visa. Mr. Akbar is a UK trained barrister who represents my family in our drone case as well as over 100 other civilian victims of US drone strikes in Pakistan. While working with Reprieve, Shahzad has done heroic and critical work encouraging us to use the rule of law to settle our grievances. Before he began representing civilian victims in 2010, he used to travel regularly in the United States. In 2008, Mr. Akbar had his visa quickly approved - it took only three days. It was not until he began standing up for drone victims in Pakistan that he became a problem to the U.S. government and began having his visa approvals delayed. In 2011 his visa was delayed for 14 months. Now, I need your help so my children and I can travel to the United Sates to tell our story. Our hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1st 2013. Without legal representation and accompaniment of our lawyer, Mr. Akbar, we cannot come to the U.S and share our story with Congress and with the people of this country. Please urge the Department of State to immediately approve Shahzad Akbar’s visa so that he may escort my family to the United States and allow Congress to hear the first hand account of what it is like living under drones.

I was suspended from Colorado College for the entirety of the first semester due to a physical altercation I got in with Forest, a fellow CC student. Although I understand the necessity for punitive measures in a case where the Student Code of Conduct has been broken, I feel that this punishment effects my parents much more than me, as they are paying for my tuition and will forfeit what they have already paid for this semester. Therefore I am asking Vice President of Student Life/Dean of Students Mike Edmonds to grant me an appeal and consider other sanctions, including, but not limited too, a move to the non-violence or substance free LLC, mandatory drug testing, anger management counseling and community service. Because I'm sick and tired of having to worry, day after day, what our government is going to do to US next!!! It's time to turn the tables on them! Someone has to put a stop to all of this! I guess it has to be someone like me, as no one in our government, really seems to care, about Americans or America!
