Allow Belle Chevre to Serve Wine to Guests at New Alabama CreameryBelle Chevre would like the flexibility of offering wine to guests from around the state and country while they are tasting and enjoying our cheeses at the new creamery in Elkmont. It is not our intention to open a bar or encourage anything other than safe and responsible tastings of wines with our internationally acclaimed cheeses. Wine and cheese have gone hand in hand for centuries. Fine cheeses like Belle Chevre’s award-winning line of chevres are no exception as they are often enjoyed with wines. Sign this petition today to urge the town of Elkmont, Alabama to go wet so tourists and locals can enjoy the tradition of pairing cheese and wine.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Amanda Lang

Protect Our Rural EnvironmentL.L.Bean, please do not launch your fireworks from our Rural neighborhood! (Below are excerpts from a letter recently sent to L.L. Bean) Your website states that L.L. Bean has been committed to environmental stewardship for 100 years. Would L.L. Bean really want a celebration that: * violates the local noise ordinance for Rural Residential areas * pollutes the environment * exacerbates existing health issues such as asthma and epilepsy * strikes fear in those most vulnerable: the young, the elderly and those suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome * terrorizes/harms domestic, farm and wild animals * produces a threat of fire in a rural area I am concerned for the effects on my animals, which include four horses and 10 cows. As wells as the countless wild animals that call our farm home: the flock of wild turkeys, the herd of deer, the pair of red tail hawks, the wood ducks, and the foxes to name a few. A display such as this will produce blind terror and panic in all of these animals and could result in harm and possibly death for some. My pony, who is nearly 30, has been abused in the past, suffers from panic attacks and a respiratory condition, and is particularly at risk. It is not an option to move her due to her physical and emotional state. I am also concerned for my neighbors. What you are planning is excessive and does not belong in a rural area. I urge you to reconsider your plan, scale it back at least to the level of last year or better yet switch to a display that is more environmentally friendly such as a laser light show. Please, do the right thing and find a way to celebrate that is more in keeping with your mission. Electoral Reform Coalition, end the two-party duopolyThe two-party winner-take-all electoral system is not a great idea, and everyone knows it. It's divisive, simplistic, corruptible and undemocratic. Our winner-take-all electoral system allows only two parties. They become massive, corruptible, and broad in their rhetoric but minimal in their differences. Around the nation, most voters view their opposition party as tyrannical and evil, while their chosen party is simply “the lesser of two evils.” They do not vote for a third party, even one closer to their political ideology, because it is viewed as a wasted vote. That is not democracy. In 2012, only vote for Electoral Reform Coalition candidates who will make their first priority to advance democracy for all Americans through a more representative form of elections.87 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Will M

Stop the Rudeness!!When the President of the United States is making a speech, particularly, on the White House Lawn; he/she should not be interrupted by heckler types. Stop the Rudeness!! We have all seen the rude behavior exhibited by NEIL MUNRO of "The Daily Caller", when President Obama was in the middle of his statement providing temporary relief for the “Dreamers”. I, for one, believe any news reporter who cannot restrain themselves, should in fact, be restrained. There is a thin line between free speech and total disrespect of our Commander in Chief. That being the case, I am asking that once any President has requested that all reporters wait until after a speech is made, to ask questions; that any variance could be prosecuted. If not prosecuted, by a fine and/or imprisonment; at the very least, said reporter should never be allowed to attend another press conference of the President they offended. During the Obama administration, many U.S. citizens have been appalled and outraged by the continued disrespect and obstructionism, presented by those opposing anything he proposes. Seeing these things transpire, has made us more aware there should be laws protecting any presiding President in the future, when giving speeches to his/her constituents. For now, we ask that NEIL MUNRO be barred from any further press conferences involving the President of the United States. Further, since it was a commendable action according to his employer, Tucker Carlson; I would ask that "The Daily Caller" be excluded entirely. As I am uncertain as to the legalities surrounding a punitive law, I believe it is still within Constitutional guidelines to demand respect for the President of the United States at a press conference. I also believe, barring a heckler who had previously been warned, is not a violation of his Constitutional Rights, but more of a common courtesy requirement.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Debra Sartelle

Keep Speedworld OpenOur son Brian has been riding at Speedworld since he was 5 years old; Brian is now 21 years old. Motorcycles has kept him focused, out of trouble and drug free from kindergarden to his present age. Without Dan's support of Brian and his abilities, Brian would not be the rider that he is today. Dan operates Speedworld in a very professional and business-like matter. We really respect Dan. In reading of the article in the paper regarding Speedworld, I find it to be a bunch of rubbish and I find it unsubstantial. There are portable buildings on the property, and part of owning a track is redesigning it and moving dirt to challenge the riders on the track. I feel that Dan is being unfairly targeted for whatever reason?? This track is home to many families and motorcycle riders.(you should come out & see). Closing this track will be detrimental to the future of our young riders. The track is a place where people of all ages can ride in a controlled- safe- environment among other riders. I feel that without this track and the support of Dan to our son Brian, he may have fallen to the same demons that a lot of young people face in this world polluted by drug use. Speedworld is a community of riders and families. Speedworld is a positive force in the community.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by sandra/ Matt Mccarty

Democrats: Stand against unrestrained campaign spendingAccording to the Democratic National Committee's 2012 Presidential Election Year Survey, no attempt to keep money out of politics will be considered a priority in this year's election. We must demand that this year's Democratic election campaign openly make clear that elections must be decided by votes rather than by floods of secret money.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ted Reynolds
