Fixing Social Security for the next 40 years

Even though my benefits were cut and my taxes increased in 1982 to create a trust fund that provides full benefits to me and others though the next two decades, the "Chained CPI" proposal cuts benefits again without considering any increase on the revenue side.

We are requesting that the City of Buda repair these streets to ensure the health and safety of anyone utilizing these streets and curtail the detriment endured by our personal vehicles.

It has come to my attention that many child protection agencies across the country are making major decisions about families and have only a four year degree which does not have to be in social work, psychology or child development or be state certified. Many supervisors and even directors of these said agencies are not state certified and can hold degrees in other unrelated disciplines and yet can make life or death decisions about our nation's abused children and their families. Lawmakers should ensure that state agencies employ and ensure their personnel who work with such sensitive issues are qualified by more than attending a four year program in some subject to take children from their parents or provide intervention.

The newer taxis which have steps up and very narrow leg room are very dangerous for older people and those with disabilities. I have several friends who have almost fallen out of these taxis or not been able to get in at all.

Social Security is for the citizen of We the People!! Social security was never meant for government to get their hands on to spend as they will.... Social security money belongs to We the People, not the elected officials who are suppoese to represent our interests!! Social security does not belong in any government budget planning and i demand that it be removed from any current legislation in progress!! This is unconstitutional and against laws voted in by the Congress of the People of these United States.... Listen to us! We demand a redress of grievences and they must be met!! This situation is almost identical just before our founding fathers decided to cede from Britian and its tyranny!!

My family and myself have been trying to get the city of Quincy to finish the road between Fifteenth and sixteenth streets on Monroe for as long as we have been at this address. I was told that the only way to get blacktop on our street was to have curbs and the only way to get that was to petition the city for it with all the names from the block to sign it.

Money for Meals On Wheels programs are being slashed in favor of other programs like war in Afghanistan, CIA, NSA, new weapons platforms, even the Fourth of July celebration in Washington! Where is the sense of the leadership in this country? Make the feeding of this country's people priority!

need to stop the harassment retaliation no one will speak out because of the retaliation .again the work environment becomes toxic

Not yet, but definitely will if it is put into tax law.

I know many people that depend on these benefits—including myself—and cutting Social Security will be devastating.
