My son Warren, now 22, was born with multiple language and learning disorders. After an hard-won, two-year eligibility battle with the Social Security Administration, they now want to take back the money they paid him. He was 11 cents over one month and 14 cents over another month, yet they want the entire monthly stipend back. Disabled people are only allowed to have $2,000 in assets to qualify for Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI). This number was established back in 1989. The National Council on Disability has urged President Obama to raise the limit to $10,000 and create ways to help support work and independence. This petition asks President Obama to issue a directive that follows the recommendations of NCD Chairman Jeff Rosen.

The State of NE is actively ignoring this supreme court law...By giving two young girls to a Fla woman and her boyfriend...A non Native couple...Non licensed to foster care..and non married. The girls are 15 and 10...with mental issues and the youngest is ADDHD. The woman who took these girls is 27...the boyfriend we do not have an age...They were given to by Judgr Chrostopher Kelly Via family services. Before the grandmother could get any real help...She wants her granddaugters with her...The granddaughters want to live with their grandmother...Something stinks in Nebraska....And I think the human trafficing that is lining the pockets of this Judge and Nebraska childrens gallery...which is suppose to be a foster/adoption agency...To my knowledge....its illegal to sell another human being...

CA elderly and disabled on low fixed Social Security income unable to supplement by work are decimated by Governor Swartzeneggar's many cuts to avoid any tax to wealthy & corporations. Medi-Cal refused by doctors, and lost dental coverage poisons abscessed unable to pay. Renter's Rebate stopped with promise to pay but never was. Qualified are refused many programs short of funds like HEAP & HA section 8.

The water bill in Baltimore city is outrageously high at this time; It is scheduled to increase up to $90.00 per household. In the past I have paid as much as $ 1,500.00 for a water bill. After changing plumbing from the street to my home and the city changing the water meter, my bill still is $300+./ per billing. The water is not fit to drink therefore City residents are forced to buy bottled water. A delinquent water bill could cause one to loose their home. City Gov. Please fix this problem.

In light of our crumbling infrastructure and congressional refusal to fund bridge, dam and levee repairs, upgrades and inspections, we the people have a right to know which bridges levees and dams are not safe, and which are not inspected - IN A VISIBLE WAY. Bridges that are unsafe or not up to code should have a posted RED WARNING SIGN - VISIBLE TO DRIVERS (visible going over and under the bridge) - Dams and Levees should also have signage. Those that have not been inspected in the last 5 years should have a YELLOW WARNING SIGN. In this way we the people can determine if we want to risk our family's lives, instead of those in power assuming we will take the risk!!!

No parents should have to go through what the parents that lost their children to the Tornado's in Oklahoma are going through. A parent should be confident that when they send their children off to school that they will be protected and that there is safe place within every school for them to go to in an emergency. A room that is engineered to protect our children and our teachers.

In 2014, change to a morning start time for the annual Memorial Day parade. Many residents support an earlier start time to help increase attendance. Just because it's always started at 2:15 pm does not mean it should not change.

Thousands of people locals and visitors alike visit this landmark for various reasons. We see a scatter of permanent structures all over the place! Overcrowded childrens playgrounds and walking paths. Wasted beach land that could be put to better use. Better maintenance in our beach pavilions.

In Los Angeles 2013, senior citizens are often found like deer in headlights --stuck in the middle of the road when the light changes too quickly for them to get across safely. Please Incumbent Mayor Garcetti, install senior buttons at our city crosswalks or we will all hang our heads in shame when grandma gets struck by a truck in a rush.

Wall street was "bailed" out years ago when they accepted money and benefits from the federal government, essentially re-booting the stock market, providing them with a second chance and a leg up. Recently, I have discussed a Bill known as the "Excess" product Bill to local congress people, in hopes that it will pass and go national. In a nutshell, the Bill would provide proprietary (for profit) organizations a tax break to work with non-profits oranizations that help people in many areas of need. For example, a local university has a business class that begins on a certain date, however, the class remains to be completely filled. The Excess Product bill would allow people in need to take that course at little or no cost so that it is filled, giving the university a tax break to do so. Another example, a local wal-mart or grocery store is getting ready to re-stock its shelves and throw out food near expiration. Instead of wasting the food by throwing it out, the store would connect with a near by non-profit or food bank to provide the food to people in need. Another example, a retail clothing store is coming up on a new season of fashion trends. Instead of throwing the older clothes out, the "out of season" clothing items would be donated to a local goodwill or other non profit to provide needy people with clothing. This Act also applies to real estate companies, utility companies, trade schools and health care entities. The time is NOW that the people work together, stand up and fight for what we deserve and what we need to get America back to a higher standard of living so that progression becomes less of a struggle and people are given a chance to Thrive once again. We NEED the people stand up and provide signatures in support of this BILL so that it can become law, so that we can get our lives back! The Bill is in its Draft stages, and now require the people to support it. I can provide a copy of this to anyone who asks in the matter of truth and transparency.
