I am an American citizen extremely concerned by the nature of President-elect Trump's stance on not releasing his tax returns. His decision to not put his business holdings into a blind trust while he is in office is also of grave concern. Release your tax returns now! What are you hiding??

I just watched the press conference and heard the President Elect state that the public does not care about his tax records. I do care, as do many others in the country as evident by repeated requests since the campaign. I am concerned both about the failure to release the tax returns, AND the false claim about how the public feels. I want to let Donald Trump and his Administration know that we are listening and watching and when they mis-speak for us, we WILL call them on it.

Secretary of State-designee Rex Tillerson is being attacked by Marco Rubio, who wants more confrontation with Iran, for having opposed some sanctions on Iran in the past. Unfortunately, some Democratic groups, like American Bridge, are opportunistically supporting Rubio's attack. Every Member of Congress, Democrat or Republican, who supported diplomacy with Iran to address the issue of Iran's nuclear program at some point opposed some sanctions on Iran or sought to limit some sanctions on Iran. The Obama Administration opposed some sanctions on Iran and sought to limit some sanctions on Iran. Every NGO that supported diplomacy with Iran opposed some sanctions on Iran and sought to limit some sanctions on Iran. In particular, all these actors sought to limit sanctions on Iran so that they could be lifted if a diplomatic agreement with Iran on its nuclear agreement could be achieved, in order to make an agreement with Iran possible. It was common sense that if the goal of sanctions were to pressure Iran to negotiate an agreement, then Iran should believe that in the event of an agreement, those sanctions would be lifted. Urge Senators to oppose opportunistic attacks on Rex Tillerson related to Iran sanctions by signing our petition.

On Wednesday during President-elect Donald Trump's first press conference since July, he said about the Affordable Care Act: "let it implode in '17." [1] Millions of Americans and their families rely on the ACA, Medicare and Medicaid to keep their families healthy -- and to help them when they get sick. Now President-elect Trump and other Republicans in Congress want to take our health care away, rather than expanding and improving it so that we pay lower premiums, get cheaper prescription drugs, and have a plan that works best for their family. It is outrageous that President-elect Trump and Republicans in Congress want to undo improvements to our healthcare system rather than working to expand and build upon them. FBI Director James Comey acted to sway our election. This affects all Americans. He must step down.

A petition can not compel Donald Trump to release his tax returns. However, he and his surrogates often defend their stance on this issue by saying the American public doesn't care to see this information. Quite simply, in order to provide evidence against that fact in future questioning, let's add our names to this list.

One hundred million sharks are killed each year, primarily for the shark fin trade. Twenty-five percent of sharks, skates, and rays are threatened with extinction and populations of large sharks are crashing globally. 35 airlines including UPS, DHL, and Air China have policies refusing to participate in this unsustainable trade of endangered and threatened sharks. We call on Fed Ex to help protect sharks and ocean health by dropping shark fin and Ray gill rakers as cargo.

To demonstrate that we, the people, do care to know about all the conflicts of interests facing Donald Trump.

I'm a veteran. The incoming administration is destroying the ACA, Medicare, Medicaid, and the VA healthcare system. I feel veterans shouldn't be on their own to shop around and compete to find care. Veterans also have the Veterans Choice program, which allows most veterans to seek private care if no appointments are available within 30 days, or if a VA facility is more than 40 miles away. The VA has room for improvement, but not wholesale destruction.

I want a President who keeps his promise and who is honest. Not releasing his taxes is an indication that he is hiding something and that he cannot keep a promise to the voters.

For months, an unverified intelligence report has been circulating in Congress and among journalists. It has now been released to the public. If this report were true, it would be a damning indictment of Donald Trump, his team and their connections to Russia. Mr. Trump claims it is "fake news." It is time for Congress to investigate the veracity of this report. We, as citizens have the right to know the man who is about to take the oath of President of our United States. We have a right to know if Donald Trump has been working for his own self-interests or in the interest of the people who elected him.
