• Do Not Stop Funding for Planned Parenthood
My granddaughter has a disability and thus has a limited income. She and others like her depend on these services to maintain their health.

  • Save Funding for Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin serves over 70,000 patients annually. They provide breast exams, cervical cancer screenings, STD tests, contraception and family counseling to those who would ordinarily not have these services. Please tell your elected officials to STOP the defunding of an organization that CARES about human rights and equality.

  • Don't Defund Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood helps women, men, and young people from all walks of life with health screenings, mammograms, and birth control. It's an important safety net in our society. It's ridiculous that, in 2015, we're still upset about giving poor women and men access to health information! It is insane that some members of the government would think that insurrection, in the form of shutting down our government, is a reasonable course of action.

  • Stand with Jorge Ramos
I am starting this petition to show Support for Jorge Ramos. A free, independent, and questioning press is absolutely vital to a democracy. Journalists like Mr. Ramos should be supported, applauded, and emulated.

  • Remove Rep Debbie Wasserman Schultz as DNC chair
In a time when the American people have lost faith in the electoral process due to a belief that there is not difference in the parties when the right to self-govern as is represented by one ballot, one vote for a candidate of the citizens' choosing, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, as Chair of the Democratic National Committee, has chosen to make an agreement with a single candidate before the primary process has been completed and only allowing a limited debate schedule. This schedule not only limits the candidates debates to 6, but due timing would prevent people from voting in primaries for a candidate they may otherwise choose due to missed party affiliation change deadlines for primaries. This is against the core of the beliefs of the Democratic Party and against the process intended by the Democratically elected Republic of the United States of America.

  • Support Shane Casey's Pardon from a Wrongful Conviction
I was wrongfully convicted after 3 trials and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison over a mere story. That's right, no corroborating evidence. I am not alone, there are many of us. Please sign this petition in support of not only my pardon, but in support of the innocence movement to put an end to wrongful convictions once and for all!

  • Mother outraged after GoFundMe deems 4-year-old son’s picture ‘too graphic’ for site
Restrictions regarding "graphic content" shouldn't apply to photos relating directly to medical treatment. GoFundMe needs to reevaluate their policies. No family should have to worry about whether or not their child's story is deemed appropriate during their time of heartache and need. http://kfor.com/2015/08/25/mother-outraged-after-gofundme-deems-4-year-old-sons-picture-too-graphic-for-site/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3211756/Mother-outraged-gofundme-removed-photos-sick-son-hospital-graphic.html http://www.gofundme.com/oakleysfight http://www.miseeharris.com/sick-boys-gofundme-challenged-for-graphic-pics-trending-news/

  • New Hampshire Marijuana Legalization Initiative
I have been and still advocate for medical marijuana, decriminalization and marijuana legalization, as well as drug abuse and addiction treatment reform. Drug overdose deaths in Colorado have gone down 25% since legalization was voted into effect. A side note: Motor vehicle accidents of all kinds have been reduced by 10% as well, not to mention the medical benefits and the amount of prescriptions that can be replaced, which I really hope isn't the real thing keeping these laws out of the house and senate floors, by way of 'Big Pharma' interest lobbies.

  • Make Democratic Senators Unanimous in Asking the SEC to Require Corporate Disclosure!
Despite the disastrous Citizens United decision allowing unlimited anonymous corporate political spending, there's an easy way to expose much of it. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) can require public corporations to report political spending in shareholder publications available to everyone. All U.S. Senators know the SEC has this power, and now 44 Democratic Senators have signed a letter asking the SEC to use it. No Republicans have signed on yet. Please urge the remaining 2 Democrats, Senators Donnelly and Manchin, to join their colleagues to unanimously demand commonsense corporate disclosure now.

  • Sign Senator Charles Schumer's Yearbook #NoWarWithIran
Senator Charles Schumer is one of only two Senate Democrats to date to side with Republican war hawks against the historic diplomatic agreement with Iran—and he wants to be the next Senate Democratic Leader. It's imperative that we hold him accountable for his inexcusable stance on the Iran deal, while also showing still-undecided Democrats a bit of what they can expect if they choose war by undermining diplomacy and peace. That's why MoveOn members are launching a mobile billboard in New York City on August 31. The billboard will crisscross Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, conveying the message that Sen. Schumer's actions in opposition to diplomacy with Iran should win him the ignominious title of "Most Likely to Start a War." This public rebuke is an extension of the efforts of more than 180,000 MoveOn members who have pledged to withhold approximately $43 million in political campaign contributions from Sen. Schumer and individual Democrats (and the party committees that support them) if they succeed in sabotaging diplomacy.
