Keep Planned Parenthood Just Like It Is!Planned Parenthood helped me secure birth control in 1970 when I was a college student. When I could no longer afford health insurance in 2009 as a result of the 2008 stock-market crash and Great Recession, Planned Parenthood was there for me again. It's my "go to resource" for health care. Planned Parenthood is a top priority for millions of people and should be completely funded for as long as there are American citizens.207 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Stephanie Bair

Arkansas prison 70% lawThis petition is for people to be able to become taxpayers again. It is ridiculous to have a person in prison for robbery, theft, aggravated robbery with no harm of a victim, probation violation etc.How can you expect them to be taxpayers if you have them in prison for 30 more years? Who will hire them? Who will give a person at 50 years of age with the only skills of prison life a chance to work? Liability comes into effect. The 70% law should be reduced to 25% and then let them do the other 45% on probation or parole with requirement of employment. This will help the over crowding issue in arkansas prison, the community to receive tax money and cost thru fees of probation/parole etc. We spend at least $14,000 a year in medical, dental, housing care per inmate a year. Don't you think it would benefit the state more if we give them 25% and have them to pay 45%? Some things are logical for the community. Let's use the system labor to the advantage. Thank you1,459 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Minister Black

Charge deposits on all drink containers. This petition is about cleaning our land and reducing non-biodegradable rubbish onto the nation's highways and landfills. Pressure such as this, as in the raising of mileage requirements, will cause the industry to find alternatives to the cans and bottle they put into the stream of commerce which cause unfair burdens of removal on the state's.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Vincent Savage

Grayson & Wasserman Schultz: Stand w/Nelson & Murphy to Back #IranDealThe Washington Post has reported that 34 Democratic Senators have committed to support the Iran nuclear deal, meaning that Republican efforts to kill the deal have failed. [1] This is a crucial victory for peace and diplomacy. But that still leaves the question of what kind of people we want to lead the Democratic Party. This isn’t likely to be the last time that America faces a choice between war and diplomacy. In 2002, key Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer voted for Bush’s Iraq war, even though international diplomatic efforts to avoid war had not run their course. Today, even though Chuck Schumer is one of just two Senate Democrats opposing the Iran deal, some people still think Schumer should be the next leader of Senate Democrats. Alan Grayson wants to be a Democratic Senator. But The Hill lists him as one of just two House Democrats “Leaning No” on the Iran deal. [2] His Democratic Senate primary opponent, Rep. Patrick Murphy, has come out in support of the deal. [3] Florida’s Democratic Senator, Bill Nelson, supports the deal. [4] But Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is chair of the Democratic National Committee [5], is “unclear/undecided,” according to The Hill. [6] Urge Grayson and Wasserman Schultz to join Sen. Nelson and Rep. Murphy in backing diplomacy, not war, by signing our petition. President ObamaWe are well aware of the damage gun violence has wrought in this country. We cannot go a day without a mass shooting. Yet our legislators refuse to act! Enough is enough. Nobody is going to take anyone's guns away, BUT we can't allow the exemptions from consequences to continue. The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, signed by Bush and praised by the NRA, needs to be repealed. So, too, do gun owners need to be held liable for the actions committed with their guns. After Sandy Hook, Aurora, Virginia Tech, and too many other tragedies to list - irresponsible gun owners, retailers and manufacturers should be held liable for the harm their irresponsibility causes. Allow the innocent American people harmed to personally sue them for damages, and remove special treatment given to the gun industry protecting them from lawsuits. We wouldn't exempt any other industry that kills as many Americans; they don't deserve special treatment.438 of 500 SignaturesCreated by sara

No War With IranI do not want to see any more soldiers die or suffer injuries. Too many innocent women, and children have died as collateral damage. We have many problems within our own borders which need to be solved, such as unemployment, homelessness, hunger, and crime. Let us address these problems instead of looking toward yet another war.22 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lorraine MacPherson

Support Bernie Sanders's Call: Overturn Citizens UnitedSenator Bernie Sanders says, "American democracy is not about billionaires being able to buy candidates and elections. It is not about the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson and other incredibly wealthy individuals spending billions of dollars to elect candidates who will make the rich richer and everyone else poorer." That's why we need a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. Will you sign the petition to Congress to take back our democracy?81 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Progressive Change Campaign Committee

SIGN THE PETITION: Tell the 2016 candidates to EXPAND Social Security benefits, not cut themJeb Bush wants to privatize Social Security -- and Republican presidential candidates agree. But progressives are not backing down. Instead of playing defense, expanding Social Security benefits is now a mainstream Democratic position. Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley have called for Social Security expansion. Hillary Clinton, Lincoln Chaffee, and Jim Webb have not. Sign our petition so that ALL Democratic presidential candidates endorse Social Security expansion.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Progressive Change Campaign Committee
