My name is Chanté Morrison, and I’m the mother of these two beautiful daughters, ages 3 and 7. For the last few months I was working at the Galesburg Wal-Mart, struggling to cover rent, food, and multiple surgeries for my youngest daughter—while trying to find reliable and affordable child care. I heard about the Child Care Assistance Program and applied – only to learn that Gov. Rauner had changed the eligibility rules, and I was denied. Soon after that I lost my job because I couldn’t find reliable, affordable child care. Had I not been denied from this program, I could still be working and supporting my family right now. Mine is just one story, but I represent thousands of parents who have been denied child care since Rauner’s July 1st changes —and now 90% of applicants who were previously eligible for the program will no longer qualify. Rauner’s new rules are so restrictive that a single mom making only minimum wage is now considered “too rich” to get assistance. Countless parents like me will now have to make the impossible decision between leaving our kids home alone or quitting our jobs. Planned Parenthood provides breast cancer screenings, Pap smears, contraception, and other preventive health care to women across our state. Funding of women's health care is so essential.

Stop the war on women!

As a woman who has used Planned Parenthood's services in the past, I know that it is a vital part of women's health care. The push to cut funds to Planned Parenthood is a partisan attack on American women and their right to safe, low-cost and effective health care, including but not limited to contraception, regular check-ups and pregnancy care. Please stand up for your constituents and help us fight this attack.

My granddaughter has a disability and thus has a limited income. She and others like her depend on these services to maintain their health.

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin serves over 70,000 patients annually. They provide breast exams, cervical cancer screenings, STD tests, contraception and family counseling to those who would ordinarily not have these services. Please tell your elected officials to STOP the defunding of an organization that CARES about human rights and equality.

Planned Parenthood helps women, men, and young people from all walks of life with health screenings, mammograms, and birth control. It's an important safety net in our society. It's ridiculous that, in 2015, we're still upset about giving poor women and men access to health information! It is insane that some members of the government would think that insurrection, in the form of shutting down our government, is a reasonable course of action.

Our communities need women's health care resources. Planned Patenthood must continue their good works.

I am starting this petition to show Support for Jorge Ramos. A free, independent, and questioning press is absolutely vital to a democracy. Journalists like Mr. Ramos should be supported, applauded, and emulated.

In a time when the American people have lost faith in the electoral process due to a belief that there is not difference in the parties when the right to self-govern as is represented by one ballot, one vote for a candidate of the citizens' choosing, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, as Chair of the Democratic National Committee, has chosen to make an agreement with a single candidate before the primary process has been completed and only allowing a limited debate schedule. This schedule not only limits the candidates debates to 6, but due timing would prevent people from voting in primaries for a candidate they may otherwise choose due to missed party affiliation change deadlines for primaries. This is against the core of the beliefs of the Democratic Party and against the process intended by the Democratically elected Republic of the United States of America.

I was wrongfully convicted after 3 trials and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison over a mere story. That's right, no corroborating evidence. I am not alone, there are many of us.
