Release Eric Rivera to his loving familyI am Eric’s mother. My whole family has long been waiting for him and we know he is ready. There must be a way that parole is opened up for these prisoners. Upon closing I pray that my son is allowed the opportunity of coming back home. His internal scars will forever remind him of his bad choices. I have faith that on top of that mountain of NO’S there is a YES for our family. We will forever be graciously thankful.208 of 300 SignaturesCreated by FFUP

All-Way Stop Signs to Protect OUR ChildrenYears of asking for either speeds bumps or traffic lights have not come to fruition and have had the Fire Department oppose both. We recently had a fatality and there have been numerous accidents due to the high speed going past this elementary and pre-school location. The Police Commissioner agrees with the all-way stops signs along with our Senator, Delegate and City Council Representative.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dr. Marvin L. 'Doc' Cheatham, Sr.

Tell the EPA: Monarchs Over Monsanto! For nearly twenty years, Roundup Ready crops have been planted on farmland across the country and sprayed with increasing levels of Roundup. Roundup's active ingredient is the herbicide glyphosate, which kills milkweed, the one plant that monarchs rely on as habitat to lay their eggs. As milkweed has disappeared, monarch populations have declined steeply. The Environmental Protection Agency is currently considering how best to protect monarch butterflies and will be accepting public comments until Monday, August 24. Tell the EPA to protect monarch butterflies by banning the use of Roundup!595 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Sarah Alexander

Connecticut's policy of choice does not extend to Medicaid patientsDental amalgam is 50 % Mercury. Mercury is a neurotoxin, a reproductive toxin, and a pollutant of global concern due to its significant negative effects on human health and the environment. There are Mercury-free alternatives and half of U.S. Dentists have abandoned the use of amalgam, most favoring composite fillings. However, the State of Connecticut expelled from Medicaid any dentist who Is Mercury-free. The policy states, " if your office cannot provide amalgam services, please have your patients call the Connecticut Dental Health Partnership ... to locate a new dental home"32 of 100 SignaturesCreated by CT COALITION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE

Solebury Supervisors: Please Listen to Your Constituents! On May 5 the Solebury Board of Supervisors pledged to not proceed with the funding of a new public works building if bids exceeded the $2.7 million authorized. Yet a narrow majority of the supervisors voted to proceed despite a bid that is already $122,000 over budget for a loosely defined project that is reduced in scale and neglects hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional costs that Solebury taxpayers will be forced to pay for. This is not financially responsible nor is it truthful.160 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Eric Allen

Help 9-1-1: Require Companies to Obtain Subscriber InfoAs a former 9-1-1 Dispatcher, I know the importance of subscriber information. We need to urge the FCC to improve and assist our community and local 9-1-1 Centers by requiring companies to obtain subscriber information at the time of a phone purchase. This helps 9-1-1 know where the caller lives, and they can then send help to that location if they have nothing else to work on.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Caleb Laieski

Allow Native Americans the Right to Wear their Hair Long in All Aspects and Places in American So...Native Americans are denied the same rights and privileges as others due to the length of their hair, being forced on many occasions to have their hair cut before they are allowed access to public establishments such as schools. We are demanding that you respect the rights of ALL Native Americans concerning this matter and abolish this practice. Having long hair is an important part of our culture and ancestry, and needs to be recognized as that. Make it illegal for Native Americans to be denied the same rights as others because of the length of their hair.3,805 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Allan Edgar
