Sandra Bland's DeathSandra Blands death is wrong and cruel because we African-Americans are not being treated as though we are humans like everybody else. We are being killed and mistreated because of our race. The same way you were brought here you will be taken out. God bless256 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Brekel walker

Free full time Childcare Necessary for Parents with CancerI'm a single mother of 5 and I have been diagnosed with Triple Negative Cancer. My 3 year old was going to chemo with me when she was 2. Next I have part 1 of 4 surgeries and she is home all day. She needs to be in school or daycare on a full day schedule. I will be getting her into head start this September. However that is only 3 hours. There are many women like me-some worse off. Providing full-time childcare for cancer patients' kids would help save lives and protect children. They shouldn't witness what my baby has since I found out I had cancer.26 of 100 SignaturesCreated by JudithHaines

RestorativeJustice for Sandra BlandRestorative justice is a vision for reform of the criminal justice system. Violent attacks on people of color have increased dramatically in the last year. All citizens in the U.S. should be treated fairly and equally under the law. The case of Sandra Bland must be investigated. Senator Nelson: Protect Matanzas Inlet from Oil Drilling! Establish the Eubalaena Oculina Nationa...I'm the Matanzas Riverkeeper in St. Augustine, Florida. Oil and gas interests want to drill off Florida's east coast. An oil spill will devastate the Matanzas River and its estuaries. A National Marine Sanctuary will prevent oil and gas activities offshore of Matanzas Inlet while allowing commercial and recreational fishing activities to continue. Tell President Obama and Senator Bill Nelson to establish this National Marine Sanctuary before it's too late! Stop the oil and gas industry from destroying the Matanzas River--Florida's last, best, River.82 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Neil A. Armingeon

Justice For Sandra BlandWe must demand that local officials release all video, information and photographs relating to Sandra's unjust arrest, imprisonment and death. The local police department and prosecutor's office have a long history of racism and corruption. Last year, DA Mathis threatened a local Reverend who spoke out about racist prosecutions, saying he would release his “hounds” on the Reverend. Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith was fired from the police department in Hempstead, Texas for documented cases of racism. According to her loved ones, Sandra Bland was a loving, compassionate woman, with a bright future ahead. Today would have been the first day at her new job working student outreach at her alma mater, Prairie View A&M University. Loved ones described her as bright, spirited, and having a thirst for life. She was also a vocal advocate against police brutality and often spoke about ending racism and police violence. Our hearts and minds are with her friends and family as they move through this unimaginably hard time.47 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Briana Scott

Justice for little Charles and CharlizeMy petition is for my 5 year old son and 7 year old daughter. They were taken upon their father's first visitation after 4 years. I called the police when he began to ignore my calls, to check on them. The authorities declared it a civil matter. No Amber Alert for me and my children??!!! I have obtained a lawyer that I can't afford. We are set to appear in September of this year. I haven't laid my eyes on my children in almost 2 years. I am desperately in need of legal action against their father, Charles Nero Jr. He refuses me contact and continuously relocates. I have almost lost my mind behind all of this..Please HELP!26 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Meagan Greene

Fairness for hard working DCF ACCESS EmployeesAs one of those ACCESS Workers, I think it is a crime to be treated in such a manner. The governor has reduced the number of workers - we have the lowest ratio of workers to clients in the entire country. We are brow beaten and made to adhere to such unrealistic requirements with so much work and so many work requirements. These workers really struggle to maintain these unrealistic standards. And with all that commitment and dedication, we can't get a raise? My rent, utilities, food, insurance etc - everything continues to rise - except my salary. I can't even afford to take my child to Disney. Where is the justice in that?19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Anonymous

Sandra Bland: Federal InvestigationThis petition is about Sandra Bland and the case and investigation that surrounds the entire incident from start to finish. The majority , almost all, of the public believes that Sandra Bland did not indeed commit self-indulged asphyxiation in the jail cell. Bland, her family, as well as people of color deserves justice, equality, and fair treatment no matter race or color of skin. This petition states that the investigation should be looked at in depth by the federal government versus local Texas law enforcement.171 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Dontrae Dixon

Tell President Obama to Exonerate Aaron McfarlandI'm starting this petition for 33 year old, Aaron Mcfarland. He has been affected by his incarceration because the justice system failed him. They have not been able to prove he committed the crime. The police did a gun kit on him but it was lost. They have a signed confession that he was coerced to sign by his grandmother because the police had her to coerce him to sign it. He was 14 years old at the time, so he couldn't read nor understand the system. I did a petition on We the People (the White House) website but they gave us until July 29th to get 150 votes to be posted on the site and 100,000 for them to respond. So far we have 42 votes. We posted it on social media. Aaron McFarland has an open case with the Innocence Project, and they are currently assisting him. They are trying to help get him out. Please sign my petition..23 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Binta Robinson
