America needs passage of President Obama's anti-nuclear agreement with Iran in order to help stabilize the Middle East and to focus on defeat of ISIS.

I have been effected by this problem, as well as everyone who goes to my pain clinic. I have been told that I must retire by three different doctors because of my major and multiple spine problems and EDS, and that they are sorry they are barred from using effective medications for pain. I've heard that they have cut the veterans of the United States of America off completely at the VA hospitals. How can they treat all of us who have fought for our country with such cruelty?

The Republican Party has owned the Small Business dialog for far too long. No one has failed Small business more than the Republicans. With the breathtaking consolidation and monopolization of the past decades, Job #1 with regards to rebuilding America and establishing a rock solid, living wage society is to ensure a vastly broad and diverse business community. Small Business is of fundamentally vital importance not only to “organically” rising wages and benefits, but to real Job Security as well. Equally important is Small Business’ positive effect on our Nation's Tax and Revenue Base. Let’s pitch in and help pay for rebuilding our infrastructure by getting the Entire Democratic Party behind supporting a Huge, Comprehensive Small Business Initiative. The Republicans have forgotten or conned Small Business for Decades and the Democrats have hardly acknowledged them, yet they make up a gigantic voter base, and Small Business is as American as Apple Pie and Mom & Pop and fun Road Trips and Baseball and BBQ's. History has shown that Trickle Down Theory has long proven a failure; The New Economy that the "Globo-Corporatists" began selling the people starting in the 1990’s has failed (several times now). The Walmart Economy has sent more middle class jobs overseas than should ever have been allowed. America is done with bad "used car" sales pitches. "We the People" are no longer willing to empower these plutocratic goals. Let's reopen those boarded up store fronts! End Urban Blight, and let’s restore the Charm and true Character to our Neighborhoods and Communities. From Cafes, to Bicycle shops, clothing stores, Pizza and Burger Joints, Jewelry stores, and anything we can imagine and need! Community by Community, State House after State House, all the way to the White House. We are living in dangerous times for America. Random Violence, Racism, and Scary Radicalism are on the rise. These are all the earmarks of a Society and Nation in decline. The vast majority of the Republican Presidential Candidates have clearly stated that they intend to destroy the last threads of protection for working class Americans. The consolidated power of Big Finance and the Media, Industrial, Retail and other Monopolies has effectively seized control of our Legislative Process and Our Electoral Process. Citizen’s United has attempted to seal the Fate of our Democracy and must be abolished. The very paper that it’s written on must be burned to ashes! We refuse to accept the loss of the basic principal of “Government of the people, by the people, for the people”. A proposed 250-acre drag racing facility will create significant noise and light pollution as well as toxic runoff that could threaten decades of work and critical Hawaiian coastline that includes Mahai`ula and Manini`owali (aka Kua Bay). We ask elected representatives to encourage more compatible use of those state, "ceded lands" while working to find win-win solutions to the public's varied recreational goals, including providing utmost protection of Hawai`i Island's natural beauty, environmental and cultural integrity.

It's important to the safety and civil rights of minorities feel safe in knowing that the very same law enforcement officers and officials that have taken an oath to protect and serve the public aren't members of secret societies wih racist agendas. In light of events from Mike Brown to the senseless brutality and unwarranted arrest of Sandra Bland. We have now learned that Walter County Sheriff Glenn Smith, who made the first public comments about Ms. Bland's in-custody death, was suspended for documented cases of racism when he was chief of police in Hempstead, TX, in 2007. After serving his suspension, more complaints of racism came in, and Smith was actually fired.

Money and politics are a bad combination.

Eight youth plaintiffs just won a precedent-setting court victory in Foster et. al. v. Washington Department of Ecology. The Western Environmental Law Center, a nonprofit public interest law firm, represented the youth who filed their petition in collaboration with Our Children's Trust, a nonprofit leading a global legal campaign for a healthy atmosphere and stable climate. In a landmark decision, the King County Superior Court ordered the Washington Department of Ecology to reconsider their decision denying the youth’s request for a rule regulating carbon dioxide emissions and to consider the best available climate science. We need your voice to help us ensure that Governor Inslee does the right thing by directing Ecology to regulate carbon dioxide emissions by August 7, 2015.

From Seattle to San Francisco to Los Angeles, cities and counties up and down the West Coast are leading the charge to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour and lifting thousands of working families out of poverty along the way. Why not Portland, Eugene, Salem or Bend? Oregon law currently prohibits cities, counties, and local governments from setting a minimum wage that is higher than the state minimum. It's called "preemption" and it's holding us back. It's time to do away with Oregon's minimum wage preemption law and allow local communities to set their own minimum wage. Add your name!

On July 16, 2015, the Australian government unveiled its plan to kill two million feral cats by 2020. While the problem they are targeting is real and serious (scientists say that they are a primary factor behind the extinction of at least 29 indigenous mammal species in Australia), the solution of poisioning the cats is barbaric to say the least. Efforts should be made to find a more humane solution, working with animal rights advocates, agencies, shelters, and rescues to spay/neuter and adopt out those that are healthy and spare as many as possible from a horrible death. This holocaust should be stopped.
