President Obama is considering taking bold, needed action that would help to save orcas (killer whales) in the Pacific. Orcas rely on salmon for up to ninety percent their diet, but these fish are in rapid decline. The western drought and the presence of four outdated dams are bringing the salmon and steelhead of the Snake River to the edge of extinction, and harming the ability of orcas to survive. The best available science concludes that removing these dams and restoring a free-flowing lower Snake River would allow for the restoration of healthy salmon runs and provide a vital food source for wild orcas.

There are so many hard workers out there who get no credit for what they do. I am a person who worked off the clock on my days off and only got paid $8.15 per hour every two weeks before I was a manager. I was training managers and never got a raise. Enough is enough.

Every year, Texans catch and kill tens of thousands of rattlesnakes by drowning them in gasoline, stomping on them, shooting them, burying them alive, and many more barbaric tortures. It's about my 4 children who I lost custody of, I opened the case to get help and the safety for my children, not for them to take my children away and put me through stress and depression, I had a full time job a great career, a home, car, stable home, and my children were in great health and had a great education, I lost my job because of the situation, so I was told from my boss. My life hasn't been the same ever since I lost them..also proof that the grandparent who have custody of my children, my word against hers that she only wants my kids for the money, well...that's what the grandmother stated,so I was told from the oldest daughter who works at a law firm. Raunchino James has been serving a 21 year sentence for a crime he did not commit. He refused to plead guilty as offered in exchange for a lighter sentence because he knew that he was not guilty of the crime. During this trial there was basically no evidence, as there were no matching fingerprints, no weapons found, not even a matching description in the evidence presented by prosecutors. There was no physical evidence to substantiate a verdict of guilty handed down by the judge who tried the case. Later it was discovered that there was false testimony given, NO DNA, and conflicting testimony!!! Raunchino James, a college graduate, an upwardly mobile young Black man, along with two other young men, were sentenced to over 20 years in prison for the crime of home invasion. This was a lengthy sentence for a crime that he did not commit. Let's start by challenging the system, by changing things, by protesting the faulty, unfair criminal justice system! This is a son of a personal friend, so it touches my heart deeply to see a life destroyed needlessly and to know that this is going on every day in this country. Let's make a difference!
