The board approved a site for the Veterans Monument with NO support from the surrounding neighbors. The Ranch House grounds provide a much more centralized location and will not negatively impact any Ken-Caryl residents. This monument should be located at the Ranch House, not on the corner of Sangre de Cristo and Crestone Mountain.

President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry and Senator John McCain have dishonored the people of the United States by their support of the fascist government in the Ukraine. Any military assistance to the anti-Semitic, anti-worker government in the Ukraine would be an act of provocation towards Russia. Working people do not need a war with Russia which without doubt would be catastrophic to Europe and the United States at the very least. We must not forget that we can all be cremated equally!

I am an elementary teacher who has seen excellent colleagues leave the profession because they don't feel free to do what's best for kids. I have been rated poorly based on my students' performance on the state test while I was on maternity leave. The next year I was rated much better...because I was actually at my job for the full year. This system is highly flawed. Merit pay incentives will only make the situation worse.

This petition is not just for me or the hard workers of my local 249, but for all Missouri workers whom this bill will affect and make their lives less profitable and possibly dangerous on the job conditions.

We call on the New Hampshire state legislature to support a constitutional amendment overturning the 2010 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (FEC). Since this flawed decision, New Hampshire has faced a deluge of outside spending. In the 2014 congressional election, outside groups spent more than 49 million dollars on three congressional races in New Hampshire- one of the highest amounts of outside spending in the nation. We believe that this is unacceptable.

World Class Pro Shop and it's continued business at AMF Capital Plaza Lanes via Bowlmor, should not lose its contractual agreement . As a patron of both establishments, I would hope the opinions of customers of continued business would be a concern. It is hard as an avid bowler to find just the right shops to handle your demands as a bowler. WCPS has had tremendous success in its business practice for the consumers. We the patrons, would like to keep this business relationship in tact for that very reason. This petition is written in hopes that you would reconsider your decision to close this prominent business from its valued customers.

We have family members who have benefited from the Affordable Care Act, and we know of others who would benefit from an expansion of Medicaid. The Kansas Hospital ASSN calls for the expansion. We cannot stand idly by and ignore the need for health care for our low income citizens.

I am so excited about the growth of the sport of soccer in our area. It is such a beautiful game. But in order to facilitate this game, we must have places for these children to play. Citizens of Alabama should have a chief justice who respects the law and the limitations to his/her authority. Judge Roy Moore continuing in his current position poses a threat to the rights of all Alabamians. Our rights are at the mercy of his personal convictions.

New York State owes New York City schools billions of dollars. This money is needed to increase the quality and effectiveness of public education. Charter schools can and do raise money in obscene amounts. That money is NOT governed by the same guidelines as money the public schools are allocated by the state. When charters are co-located in our public school buildings, they create a caste system in an already segregated school system. They create a “have” and “have not” situation in schools, with the real public schools being the “have nots.” That being said: When at the 11th hour before 2014's state elections, legislation was hurried through changing the rules governing charter schools. They do NOT have to pay rent, nor do they have to find their own space. More importantly, New York City has to find space for them in existing public schools or find them space elsewhere and the city must pay for their rent and renovations. The money to do this would come from OUR school budget, and taking money from OUR school budget means less in our classrooms. This causes the quality of our children's education to decrease, thereby creating an unequal public education system which is constitutional right of EVERY child in the United States! That being said: This petition is to request that New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman investigate the civil rights violations these actions pose on students in New York City's real public schools. Furthermore: Please view the the document below showing the contributions made to Governor Cuomo by charter school proponents, totaling over $1.6 million. Eva Moskowitz and her cohorts have donated almost $700 thousand alone. These figures strongly suggest that the governor was and is complicit in these civil rights violations.
