We truly appreciate the support of everyone who has signed so far, and are hoping the impact will be greater if most signatures are from taxpayers. • There is no clear statement of the role and responsibilities for the position of Director of Student Services/Executive Principal. • There was insufficient taxpayer input concerning the creation of the position of Director of Student Services/Executive Principal. • Enrollment levels have steadily declined at Cooperstown Central School. o 2010 enrollment: 1,025 o 2014 enrollment: 888 • Cooperstown Central School has a current enrollment of 888 average-needs students, housed in two buildings (Elementary School and High School). Each building has a Principal and shares a Superintendent. The added Executive Principal is unnecessary in a community with a school of this size, given the decline in enrollment as outlined above. • Comparable schools within the region do not have “extra” administrators in order to implement the Common Core curriculum and APPR. Teachers currently in the employ of the school with certifications in administration can take on some of these administrative duties for less cost. • The salary of ~$94,000/year, plus benefits, would be better suited to hiring faculty, support staff, and curricular support, especially in the areas of AIS services, arts programs, extracurricular activities, foreign language, and special needs students. As taxpayers, parents, and teachers, we urge the CCS Board of Education to eliminate the position of Executive Principal/Director of Student Services. Our schools are not in need of increased administration, but rather academic support. The $94,000 + spent annually on this position is not in the best interest of our students, our teachers, our school, or our community.

Because I have been illegally charged with perjured testimony by an LAUSD School Board Member who is also an Asst. L.A. City Attorney, of making obscene, P.C. 653(m), phone calls. I have the highest level proof I did not do this. According to the People v. Johnson Calif. Supreme Court Decision I was to have been dismissed last March 15, 2014. The judge just recently broke every part of the Calif. Supreme Court Decision on my requesting a competent attorney in the Marsden Hearing, People v. Marsden. My friend, Richard Fine, was put into solitary confinement for revealing this in court. This is systemic and must be stopped.

Despite comprising over half of New York State's population, no woman has ever had a seat in statewide budget negotiations. The "three men in a room" insider culture of Albany has come to define politics in the Empire State for many disillusioned voters. Now that the leader of a five-member legislative conference has broken the mold and been allowed into that room, we must shatter the glass ceiling and allow leaders from all legislative conferences, including the accomplished female leader of the 24-member Democratic State Senate conference, to ensure every New Yorker's voice is represented when it counts.

This petition is to request immediate involvement from the DOJ in the recent police shooting death of Antonio Zambrano-Montes. Millions have seen the video which clearly shows police gunning down an unarmed man. The investigation has been turned over to the special investigation unit, headed by the Kennewick Police. Kennewick is an adjacent town whose police force is known for excessive use of force and excessive ticketing. To date SIU has never found an officer at fault for use of lethal force, and by the way the investigation has gone so far there is no reason to expect a different outcome this time. The officers involved have not yet been questioned, and are not barred from communicating with each other. Most of the SIU investigation has centered around Mr. Zambrano-Montes and not the officers involved. An independent autopsy has already contradicted the official one on both the numbers of rounds that hit and where they hit. This petition is a call for an unbiased and fair investigation, not one headed by a police force that's works closely with the one in question and has a history of not holding officers accountable for their actions.

This could be catastrophic for important commercial and recreational fishing and for coastal communities that rely heavily on tourism. Clean, renewable, wind energy should be explored in these areas, not oil. We do not need a BP oil disaster off our coastline!

I believe recent events at Michigan schools involving emotionally unstable individuals carrying lethal weapons have traumatized students and interfered with their educations. Families fear for the safety of their students at school, and some have decided their children would be safer at private institutions, and plan to withdraw their children from public schools, fearing their students could be shot and killed in one of these incidents. In essence, Michigan students are being bullied, and denied their own civil rights, by a small minority of individuals maintaining their supposed Constitutional rights, and a legislature that's been bullied into submission by the NRA.

Creativity and invention in society is influenced by abstract art and music forms motivating change and adjustment of standards. It is a vital part of our intellectual culture and evolution regardless if we are fans of this music or not. This jazz category is VITAL in the realm of modern music.

THE JUNIOR MEN SHOULD RECEIVE TOP PRIORITY AS THEY REPRESENT THE FUTURE IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION SUCH AS OLYMPICS, WORLD CUPS, PAN AM GAMES

Many homes in my region , including my own are threatened by the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline project. And this is only one of several large ( 42" high pressure pipelines) proposed to be built across Virginia. Permitting gas pipeline companies to survey properties against the will of the people violates our property rights and abuses the concept of eminent domain.

We are petitioning the United States Department of Justice to investigate allegations that Pearson has been monitoring social media sites looking for teenagers posting critical remarks of Pearson's invalid standardized testing. In one case in a New Jersey high school, they demanded that a student be punished for a tweet, which was deleted. Not only is this action by Pearson unethical, it is likely criminal as well as no company, no matter how powerful, should be spying on Americans, especially our children. Neither should Pearson, along with the blessings of the New Jersey Department of Education, subject our children to possible violations of free speech. We ask the Department of Justice to advocate for our nation's youth by investigating, indicting, and ultimately convicting Pearson for these egregious breaches of privacy and likely violation of our First Amendment rights.

WE REJECT that, after OTB admitted major losses ($30 million), Albany’s answer was the Medford Casino, placed in the midst of an established residential, school and business area, and built on Long Island’s sensitive drinking water aquifer (South Service Road of LIE Exit 64). WE REJECT the huge FINANCIAL AND SOCIAL BURDENS that will befall our suburban and semi-rural communities: dramatically increased traffic, property taxes, theft crimes, fire/ rescue calls, and property depreciation. WE REJECT the proposed Las Vegas-style neon signs and billboards advertising the casino along our suburban highways. WE REJECT the Cuomo-Skelos-Bellone-Mangano political deception because a vote against the casino referendum was still a vote for the video lottery terminals (VLTs). THEREFORE, we call upon you to immediately rescind the authorization for 1,000 video lottery terminals in each county to be operated by Nassau and Suffolk County Off Track Betting (OTB) corporations. We ask the Senators and Assemblymen to co- sponsor and pass Assemblyman Fitzpatrick's Bill A.5187 to repeal Video Lottery Gaming on Long Island.

This petition was created because legislation is needed to stop businesses from taking advantage of the loophole that allows for unreasonable and incomparable decreases in property taxes and is a violation of the state tax law. These tax cuts require budget cuts to publicly funded programs and services such as education, libraries, road maintenance and repair, search and rescue, senior services, veterans affairs and recreational facilities that support thriving communities.
