The "Schools on the Hill" are historic landmarks situated on the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C. They were built starting in 1930s and until 1951. They were the last schools built specifically for African Americans prior to integration. They are a beautiful example of the progress that was made during the early years of the twentieth century. The historic architectural environment should be preserved for all to appreciate.

Consumption of craft beer is growing nationally and the sale of growlers allows consumers access to small brewery beers (most of which are unavailable in cans or bottles) at home. In addition, allowing the sale of growlers will increase state revenue and is a "green" alternative to disposable containers.

The landlord won't renew the bookstore's lease. He wants to rent to someone else, but Wellsboro needs a bookstore. The store has always paid rent, and never been late. It's a small town and there's just not anywhere else for the store to go.

We are starting this petition to revise the current HSE redistricting plan as of 12/1/2014. We would like to keep the students of Tanglewood at Fall Creek Elementary where they are currently attending. Revising the current draft keeping the section of Hamilton Proper, Brookstone, Anchorage and Breakwater neighborhoods at Brooke School Elementary, where some of these neighbors currently attend. Currently WA law requires full time faculty (tenure track) and part time faculty (adjuncts) at 2 year public post secondary schools to be represented by the same union. This is a conflict of interest. Full time faculty often supervise part time faculty. This inequity results in the interests of part time faculty being marginalized or not represented at all.

All development plans for Rio Santiago have failed, and there are no current plans to develop anything there. The owners of the property, Milan Capital, confirm the current plan is to expand concrete crushing and stockpiling activities indefinitely. My neighbors and I are directly affected by these operations because we can hear the crushing, rumbling and beeping of trucks and dozers all day. The dust covers our homes and yards, and the piles of gravel impair views across the valley and are unsightly. This dump in the middle of a beautiful rural residential area of East Orange is a visual eyesore. It is time to address the current use directly, by shutting down the dump in East Orange.
