The Town of Tyre, NY adopted a law to allow a casino in the rural farming town of less than 1,000 people, against the will of the people. Backroom dealing without any regard for the residents of the town.....Hold them accountable!!!

As a child my mother faced great obstacles ranging from domestic violence to joblessness. My Pre-k learning experience provided the foundation for my social-emotional, intellectual development and success over my lifetime against the odds of poverty. The Highscope Perry study started in 1962, followed students with and without Pre-K until age 40. Those who went to Pre-K had higher earnings, were more likely to hold a job, had committed fewer crimes, more likely to have graduated from high school, to name a few of the benefits of the study!

There have been requests to sign this letter, so we decided to make it available for any faculty or staff members who would like to add their name.

As your constituents in Georgia's 9th District, we are concerned about the lack of progress to fix the broken immigration system at the federal level. It affects our economy, especially the agriculture and construction sectors, and is tearing our immigrant families apart. SB 744 that was passed last spring is our best hope for a solution. Please consider it seriously, remove militarizing the border, and move it to the House floor for a vote.

I would like a chance to drive again in the near future to get a license to attend my recovery activities such as AA, wellness court alumni groups and celebrate recovery. I would like to be able to have a career after having completed my bachelors in business management and technology while attending school for my masters of business administration with a certification in project management. Also my four year old son will soon be five this year and beginning kindergarten this fall. I am fully capable of working and paying taxes I have found that not being able to drive is sort of a handi cap in employment at times and I am unable to respond to emergency situations with my children that have severe allergies. With those allergies we have been having to shop at multiple stores to accomodate their eating diets. So please consider giving me a chance to follow the law. I have been in compliance with the law since 2008 and believe I can drive while abiding by all the laws as written. Thank you for your careful consideration on this matter.

Right now, Nebraska officials like Gov. Dave Heineman are blocking the expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. As a result, about 50,000 low-income Nebraskans will be left without access to health care – except through the high-cost emergency room. With Medicaid expansion, these Nebraskans will instead have access to cost-effective preventative care to keep them healthy and working. This federal investment will also return between $2.3 billion and $3.5 billion to Nebraska’s economy this decade. Our tax dollars are leaving our state regardless of whether or not Nebraska takes advantage of this new program -- and Medicaid expansion is the only way to bring them back from Washington It's time to do the right thing for our economy, our health care system, and for our neighbors by providing health care coverage for all Nebraskans. Expand Medicaid in Nebraska now.

I'm starting this petition in order to provide better opportunities for our children's future through the reduction of student loan debt. Additionally, this proposal reduces our national debt by accruing loan interest directly by the federal government (at least $55 billion dollars over 15 years). This loan interest can be used to fund future loans as well as help pay down our national debt.

This law would disable the huge salary increases that congress has voted themselves over the years. They would be more interested in serving their constituents and not lobbyists if the constituents had the power to appraise and give salary increases by merit. This would go along with the system of checks and balances in our government.

"The New York State Committee To Legalize Marijuana” was organized to get Marijuana legalized and regulated in New York State. Our members are registered voters of New York State who want marijuana legalized. Every polls supports that fact.
