driver's license for illegal aliens in Kentucky.Well I'm starting this petition because i think illegal imigrants should be able to drive without having to always look over their shoulder all the time. We are all the same in the inside we are just different skin colors, illegal immigrants come to america cause its the land of opportunities and to be safe. I know alot of people wont sign it cause alot of you all are against illegal aliens being here. But im asking you to have a heart and sign it please. You would be helping alot of immigrants. Kentucky keeps claiming about being so broke. Just imagine the tax dollars that they would gain for a move like this, as well as keep people from being separated from their family because of traffic violation.253 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Guillermo Gutierrez

Tell Congress: We Need Early Education for All!In his State of the Union Address, President Obama reaffirmed the importance of early childhood education: "Research shows that one of the best investments we can make in a child's life is high-quality early education. Last year, I asked this Congress to help states make high-quality pre-K available to every 4-year-old. And as a parent as well as a president, I repeat that request tonight." The bipartisan Strong Start for America's Children Act is a landmark bill that will expand universal access to high-quality pre-kindergarten services for all 3- and 4-year-olds, especially kids from low-income families. It will also strengthen quality child care for infants and toddlers. Studies show that children from low-income and underserved communities enter kindergarten already behind their classmates in key areas such as oral language and vocabulary skills. We must close the opportunity gap before it starts: early childhood education is a proven way to ensure that all students have a fair shot at success in school and in life. We need House and Senate leadership to see clear momentum right NOW for this must-pass legislation. Tell your members of Congress: stand with the President and endorse the Strong Start for America's Children Act!113 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Opportunity Action

Save Zumba with Marisa and JaniceWe, the members of the Zumba class with Marisa Tournear and Janice Winn at Quincy University's Health and Fitness Center feel that our class has been cancelled abruptly without good reason. We have been told that the reason is dwindling numbers in attendance, which is definitely not the case. Some of us have been attending regularly for the past 4 years. Zumba is more than a trip to the gym for us; we have become a family. We refuse to settle for this cancellation, and want our class to be reinstated.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Save Zumba with Marisa and Janice

Livingston County Board of Supervisors: Ban frack waste in Livingston County, NYThe toxins and radioactive materials found in hydraulic fracturing waste are detrimental to public health and should be kept out of the water supply, and off the roadways. High volume hydraulic fracturing wastes must be banned from water treatment facilities to safeguard the drinking water supply for our county. Neighboring counties have enacted bans prohibiting fracking wastes. Our Board of Supervisors needs to act to protect the drinking water supply for the residents of Livingston County, NY.803 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Holly Adams

Legal Marijuana in New Mexico? Let the Voters Decide.SJR 10, introduced into this legislative session by Senator Ortiz y Pino, is a Constitutional amendment that would allow for the legalization, taxation, and regulation of marijuana in New Mexico. If passed by both the House and Senate, SJR 10 would appear on the ballot in next November’s election where voters would then decide whether or not they want legal, taxed, and regulated marijuana in New Mexico. New Mexico would see between $19 million and $20.82 million in annual tax revenues from the legal sale of marijuana and the state would save over $33 million on police, courts, and corrections costs from no longer enforcing marijuana prohibition. A majority of New Mexicans favor the full legalization of marijuana.5,652 of 6,000 SignaturesCreated by Pat Davis

ALL Iowa Immigrants Should Be Able To Apply For A Driver's PermitAlready, 13 states allow ALL immigrants to apply for drivers permits. By bringing the policy to Iowa, we will: - Increase the number of insured drivers on the road - Lower insurance premiums for everyone - Promote effective law enforcement - Increases public safety Over one-third of new rural Iowans are immigrants. But many of these immigrants are prevented from obtaining a state issued ID because of their immigration status. Multiple studies have shown that driver’s license restrictions, like those we have in Iowa, make us all less safe. They force immigrants to avoid contact with law enforcement which means fewer crimes are reported. Please join the growing number of Iowans and support driver's permits for ALL immigrants.422 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Matt Hildreth
