Over my six years as a student in GISD, I've noticed the lack of student influence and involvement in the decisions made about their educations. I urge you to allow these students to be apart of the decision-making process for the district.

Because House Republicans want to torpedo President Obama's Iran agreement with a hawkish move by Eric Cantor. I do not want to see us drawn into war by resentment within the ranks to make Obama look bad. The collateral damage is our democracy.

I have always been proud that my roots started in Oklahoma. Many Oklahomans were elated last year when the Ten Commandment Monument was placed on the Capitol grounds, thanks to Rep. Mike Ritze, R-Broken Arrow. Just like the push to take prayer out of schools in 1962, we can not afford to allow Satanist Lucien Greaves (of New York) to come to Oklahoma to "pay homage to Satan". We can not stand by idly. Unlike 1962, there is no excuse in letting your voice be heard. I was just a twinkle in my father's eye in 1962; however, I promised that if I ever had a chance to make a difference when it came to protecting American values, that I would. This is not a religious opinion or view; however, it is an American one. We have an obligation to revoke this movement by the Satanist as provided in our pledge of allegiance. In his own words, Greaves states, "We believe that all monuments should be in good taste and consistent with community standards," Greaves wrote in letter to state officials. "Our proposed monument, as an homage to the historic/literary Satan, will certainly abide by these guidelines." Greaves said one potential design involves a pentagram, a satanic symbol; while another is meant to be an interactive display for children. He said he expects the monument, if approved by Oklahoma officials, would cost about $20,000. Let's show him that regardless of your religious opinion, that no one believes any statute honoring Satan would be considered "in good taste" in the Sooner state. This is a tool set for leverage and precedence. If this action is not taken NOW to fight this statue, the other 49 states of the union will all be subject to this nonsense as well. Let's show them what we stand for in Oklahoma. As our pledge of allegiance states, "...one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Let's not be divided (indivisible) on this matter!

This petition is started to preserve the rights of patient's in chronic and intractable pain to get prescribe the medications that they need, and to stop PROP from sabotaging our treatment and our rights.

The trend of retailers opening earlier and earlier on Thanksgiving Day and cutting into American families spending time together on this traditional holiday is a concern. The force of commerce taking priority and preying on workers affects families across the nation. We would like to reclaim the Thanksgiving holiday as one for families and encourage consumers to resist the merchant's desire to lengthen the retail season traditionally held before Christmas. With extended shopping hours already in place, this exerts increased stress on workers who cannot afford to take time off. We further feel that the shopping is for non-essential goods and can be delayed 24 hours without significant damage to either the economy or individual businesses. Thank you for supporting our petition and rejecting this trend.

I want Seaworld to be put out of business. The way they have been lying to the world about the fatal incidents involving Tilicum and other Killer Whales is absurd and heartbreaking. This cannot, and will not, go on.

We have the right to information regarding a complaint made to LARA concerning Dr Farid Fata who has misdiagnosed and most likely killed hundreds of patients. We have requested and been denied the results of an official complaint made to LARA in 2010 through the Freedom Of Information Act and we want to know why. Our suspicion is that the complaint was mishandled and swept under the rug while Fata patients continued to be hurt and killed for over a year. Our teachers are our children's role models, they are in a place of power to teach, to encourage, to mold our children. Bullying is not at all tolerated from our children and shouldn't be tolerated from teachers. This guy got a slap on the wrist, more needs to be done. The school tried to sweep that matter under the rug. Not on my watch!

House majority leader Eric Cantor is working on a hawkish bill that would torpedo President Obama's interim agreement with Iran by setting unrealistic goals for the final deal. If he succeeds he’ll tie President Obama’s hands, destroy negotiations and edge us closer to another senseless conflict in the Middle East.
