• BUILD A MEMORIAL LIBRARY and STADIUM MUSEUM TO RFK, THE MAN, AND RFK, THE STADIUM
It would add the needed cultural, educational, and historical elements to the campus, and would serve as a major destination point for all. With the old stadium coming down, and a new planned stadium being built on the same site, now is the time to preserve, for future generations, the rich history and togetherness that this beloved structure produced.

  • Don’t approve Nexstar’s unethical $6 billion merger!
Nexstar’s major merger with Tegna has been in the works for a while—but it’s getting more attention and heat following their meddling with “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Jimmy Kimmel was temporarily taken off the air by ABC after his televised commentary on the Trump administration and Republicans' exploitation of Charlie Kirk’s murder. The decision came after the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Brendan Carr announced that local ABC stations should “push back” and “pre-empt” coverage that does not serve “their local communities.” And now, it’s become clear that Nexstar, in trying to protect its $6 billion merger, put pressure on ABC and Disney in order to align itself with the Trump administration and appease the FCC. Sinclair, the other major broadcasting company that is doubling down on keeping Kimmel off air, had previously tried to acquire Tegna, and has its own acquisitions up for FCC review. This deal has corporate corruption and government overreach written all over it—and everyday Americans are going to pay the price. We have to expose this shady business deal before Nexstar and other major companies control our media and become proxy propaganda outlets for Trump and his cronies. ABC’s decision to pull Kimmel off the air was a direct result of corporate corruption. Tell the FCC NOT to approve this merger.

  • Save the Russell Martin Park Woods
Don’t we all just need to take a walk in the woods sometimes? Russell Martin Park’s walking trails affords Concord  residents the opportunity to unplug, de-stress, and enjoy the simplicity of a quiet nature walk.  Constructing a bike park in the middle of the forest, situated among walking trails, would seriously impede the ability of ALL residents to enjoy the forest experience for the benefit of a few.

  • Tell Congress: Close Fort Bliss and Other Abusive Detention Centers!
Billions of taxpayer dollars are being funneled into walls, troops, surveillance systems, and detention centers while seniors, children, veterans, and families are struggling with rising health care costs, Medicaid cuts, rising prices, and rent. U.S. immigration enforcement already receives more federal funding than all other major federal law enforcement agencies combined.  We demand that Congress act decisively: 1. Stop Militarization! Halt the deployment of military personnel in U.S. cities and the militarization of local police forces through federal grants, surplus weapon transfers (e.g., the 1033 Program), and tactical training programs. Enact new legislation to codify and strengthen protections under the Posse Comitatus Act. 2. Close Unlawful Detention Camps! Permanently close all abusive detention facilities—including Fort Bliss and new detention sites under construction, and stop the deportation-industrial complex by cutting funding to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). 3. Be Accountable! Mandate a full, independent investigation into conditions at current and former detention centers, with findings reported to the public and consequences for abuse. 4. Invest in Our Communities! Reallocate federal funds away from militarization and into affordable housing, accessible health care, and quality education to help our seniors, our children, and families struggling to make ends meet. We refuse to normalize this cruelty, and we will not be complicit in its expansion! Our lawmakers have a duty to represent the overwhelming majority of Americans who support our immigrant neighbors. Sign the petition now to be in solidarity with all communities impacted by militarization and detention.

  • No Hate In Our Schools!
Why This Matters: Protecting Students from Discrimination and Violence  We are asking the Penn Trafford School District — and all Pennsylvania Schools — to deny recognition of a Turning Point USA/Charlie Kirk student club. This is not a matter of political opinion — it is about safety, civil rights, and preventing harassment and violence in our schools.  Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA's entire platform was built on discriminatory and extremist messaging that: • Targets students based on race, national origin, religion, and sexual orientation. • Advocates violence against LGBTQ+ students and gender-affirming care providers. • Promotes racist, antisemitic, and white-supremacist rhetoric. These messages are not abstract political disagreements. They create a hostile environment for students in protected classes, including LGBTQ+ and minority students, which schools are legally required to prevent under Title VI, Title IX, and Section 504. Our biggest concern is that these groups — once limited to the dark corners of the internet, such as, but not limited to 4chan or Groyper communities — are now gaining official space in public schools.  This is deeply alarming because these groups intentionally target and manipulate young, white cisgender males with the intention of radicalizing them.    • Extremist ideology can radicalize young, impressionable students. • Schools are meant to be safe spaces for all students. Allowing a club tied to hate speech and white supremacist rhetoric risks creating a hostile and unsafe environment. • There is a real danger of violence occurring when hate and radicalization are normalized or given legitimacy. We must ACT NOW to protect students’ rights and safety. Allowing this club would send the message that harassment, discrimination, and extremist beliefs are acceptable in our schools. Sign this petition to ensure that Penn Trafford — and all Pennsylvania districts — deny recognition to this club, and prioritize the safety and dignity of every student.

  • Act Now: Allegations of torture and human rights abuse cannot go unchecked!
You likely remember the horrifying images from CECOT, El Salvador’s notorious mega-prison: detainees stripped and forced to kneel, surrounded by armed guards in riot gear. That includes hundreds of men who the U.S. government deported without due process, based on unproven allegations that they were members of a Venezuelan gang. Men like 19-year-old Carlos Daniel Terán, who told NPR how he was dragged from his cell, beaten, and sexually assaulted. He called CECOT “hell on earth” — and a troubling secret memo details how U.S. tax dollars paid for the torture he and others experienced. It may not surprise you that the Trump administration signed off on a multi-million dollar deal that turns a blind eye to some of the worst human rights abuses imaginable. The horrific reality is that things could get worse yet: Right now, the Trump administration is working to expand third-country deportations to as many as 58 countries. It’s unconscionable. But as soon as this week, Senator Tim Kaine will force votes on a package of SIX game changing resolutions that would require the State Department to provide human rights reports on South Sudan, Rwanda, Eswatini, Costa Rica, Panama, and Mexico — places the Trump administration is currently deporting people. The clock is ticking, and we have the narrowest window of opportunity to build enough support to pass Senator Kaine’s resolutions and help ensure no one faces the abuse that Terán and others experienced.

  • Tell the Senate: Pass a War Powers Resolution to STOP Trump’s march to war in Latin America
Trump recently announced U.S. forces have “knocked off … three boats” — indicating another unauthorized, lethal strike on vessels in the Caribbean. That’s three strikes in less than three weeks. At least 14 people have been killed, likely in violation of both U.S. and international laws. Trump and his cronies are stonewalling Congress’ efforts to get answers, as troubling questions have emerged as to who was even on the boat, in addition to reports that the vessel was retreating from U.S. forces at the time of the attack. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 makes it Congress’ responsibility to decide most questions involving the use of force — everything from putting U.S. troops in harm’s way to ordering airstrikes that kill. Congress never authorized these strikes — or any military action in the Caribbean. We cannot let Trump get away with these unauthorized, unnecessary, and dangerous attacks. Luckily, we’re not alone: Champions in Congress are prepping and introducing a number of War Powers Resolutions to stop Trump. Now, our job is to build support for each one and remind lawmakers that no one wants needless and lawless violence. First up? S.J.Res.83, just introduced by Senators Schiff and Kaine.

  • Mayor Lurie: Prioritize Climate Action Plan goals as you restructure city government
San Francisco approved a detailed and comprehensive Climate Action Plan in 2021 with a top-line goal of net-zero GHG emissions by 2040. Some progress towards this goal has been made since then, including general fund budget money awarded over the last few years to the SF Environment Department, for the first time ever. But we are now in danger of going backwards in our fight to mitigate climate change. Mayor Lurie and the Board of Supervisors recently approved a 2-year budget that revokes virtually all funding for programs critical to implementing the CAP. Without changes, staff will be laid off and successful projects will grind to a halt. In the face of rising climate catastrophe, this is simply unacceptable. The federal government’s abdication of any climate action only underscores the need for forward-thinking cities like San Francisco to lead the way, ensuring we don't get left behind as the rest of the world accelerates in this critical energy and economic transition. San Francisco is uniquely poised as a center of innovation and progressive values to forge ahead, demonstrating how to take meaningful action on one of the greatest challenges of our time. The City can build on the excellent work already being done by our Environment Department and other City agencies, community organizations, and the business community to speed our progress towards reduced emissions and protection of our most vulnerable communities.

  • Reinstate Jimmy Kimmel and stop caving to authoritarian censorship!
Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission Brendan Carr announced Wednesday that he had a strong case for taking action against Kimmel—insinuating that Disney’s license was on the line.  “This is a very, very serious issue right now for Disney. They have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest,” Carr said.  This is blatant corruption—a government agency abusing its power to coerce corporations into submission and silence those who disagree with it.  This isn’t just about one late-show host. It’s about the ability of people—whether they're high-profile media hosts like Kimmel or everyday Americans—to use their platform to speak out against the government.  Kimmel’s suspension comes on the heels of CBS and Paramount Global's firing of popular and Emmy-winning late-show host Stephen Colbert. From slashing funding for public television and NPR to the firing of media personalities, the Trump administration wants to control what Americans hear and watch. It wants to strip away access to a diversity of news and information sources so that it can control the narrative.  This is a dangerous slide into authoritarianism, and we have to resist every step of the way. Add your name to the petition now.
