The annual spraying of 20 billion tons of aluminum, barium, strontium, mercury and other toxic, carcinogenic and biohazardous material over cities/counties everywhere (including daily over Kauai Island an the Hawaiian Islands) is already having devastating effects on humans, the soil, the water, forests, eco and marine systems and all life forms. The short term effects have shown to be causing residents and visitors to have respiratory illnesses frequently as a result. But the long term effects are deeper, such as alzheimer's, neurological disorders and cancer. If the public were adequately informed on this topic, most would take appropriate action to put an immediate stop to these destructive activities

Some members of Congress are proud that they are voting to make cuts to Social Security and Medicare programs. They say we all must make sacrifices. But they ask, once again, for those who can least afford it to shoulder the burden. Let Congress share some of that burden.

Citizens have to take action to end gun violence. We have to demonstrate we are serious to make Congress enact safe gun laws. The South Carolina General Assembly is currently debating a bill named the “School District Choice Program and Open Enrollment Program” (Senate Bill 313). If passed, this legislation would enable families within the state of South Carolina a greater choice of which public school their children attend. This bill states that it will “promote student achievement by making the South Carolina public school system the most choice-driven public school system in the nation by increasing student participation in, and student access to, public school educational opportunities both within and outside of their resident school district, regardless of where they live or their socioeconomic status.” It is critical that we make our voices for change and freedom of choice be known to our leaders in the South Carolina legislature. The guidelines for Low Income Federal Tax Credit Buildings expired 10 years ago but were never updated leaving disabled and retired seniors and other low income families suffering financially due to this oversight. My Social Security SSI income is $884 a month and my rent is $711.00, forcing me to go without food and Medicine. Why isn't the Federal Government addressing this?

With the advancement of non lethal ammunition we should push for legislation of live ammo restriction. Non lethal ammunition such as rubber bullets can be used for personal defense of self and home without violating the second amendment. Saving the lives of countless people if we can begin to push for live ammunition to be restricted to just hunters, shooting ranges, special police units(i.e. swat), and the military.

law abiding citizens are getting punished by long delays in scheduling cases in civil court. We waited almost one year to have a non paying tenant ejected from our rental property. what about our rights to a speedy hearing? No more cuts to the court, enough is enough!

Are you a Delta SkyMiles member? If so, try not to die....ever. Delta has just quietly changed its frequent flier program for the second time in 2013. The new rules, as of March 2013, say "miles may not be transfered...upon death." However, the 2012 rule book states: "While the Miles expire upon a Member’s death, the Administrator or Executor of the Member’s Estate may request Delta reinstate and transfer the Miles from the deceased Member’s account to one or more members’ accounts." That paragraph is now gone. How can Delta do this after advertising "miles that don't expire" ?!!?! The City of Joliet is currently proposing building a corporate owned, for profit immigration detention center. If allowed, it would be Illinois' first and would make way for other similar facilities to be built in the state. Help us send a clear message that we don't appreciate deficit expanding, for profit, detention centers that overwork and underpay their employees and cut corners in medical care and proper treatment of their detainees.
