Millions of Americans depend on Social Security Benefits for basic survival. As Americans, we have ALL paid into those benefits and have a right to them. My dad worked hard all his life, ran an honest business (when others in his field were cheating customers and making way more money), paid in to Social Security from his very first job on through his retirement. Now when he's 89 years old he should be allowed his FULL Social Security Benefits WITHOUT cuts. He, and thousands of other Americans, are ENTITLED to them. Don't allow Social Security Benefit cuts now or ever.

Please save Social Security cuts. There are millions of senior citizens who's only income is Social Security. We barely make it on the money we get now, and if you cut our Social Security there will be hundreds, maybe millions of seniors who would be homeless. Please do not cut social security benefits.

My husband and I are SENIOR CITIZENS and you promised us that you would not put Social Security on the table to balance the budget. We believed in you and now you are betraying us because you won't stand up to those inconsiderate Republicans. How are we supposed to live if you cut our benefits? Likely due to pressure from the pharmaceutical industry-heavy advertisers in all media-the national debate on the epidemic of teen violence has ignored the widespread use of prescription drugs in teens and particularly those who have committed monstrous acts. However, the drug-violence link is frighteningly common. Fifteen-year-old Shawn Cooper of Notus, Idaho, fired a shotgun at students and school staff. According to his stepfather, he had been taking an SSRI. Thirteen-year-old Chris Fetters of Iowa killed her favorite aunt. She was taking Prozac. Kip Kinkel, a 15-year-old youth, went on a rampage in Oregon. He first shot and killed his parents, spent the night with the bodies (characteristic of the dissociative reaction these drugs often cause), then killed two and wounded 22 of his fellow students at Thurston High School. He was taking Prozac. This is just a small sample and doesn't include adults.

Social Security is money that comes straight out of our paychecks. It is based on the money we put into the system from our income, not from the President or Congress. The money we can receive is based on our income so when there's a death, disability and even retirement there is something to help us in those events. It's the money of those that paid into it! Why should the President and/or Congress be allowed to play with our money? My children receive social security from their father's death. This money is calculated based on what he "earned". No more, no less. Without his portion of income it would be an extreme hardship for my family to continue living in a regular household, especially in Maryland where the cost of living is extremely high.
