This last mass killing of our children must be the wake-up call-please ! We must do something to stop this madness!!!

There have been too many mass killings in recent years. The entertainment industry should be a leader in ending the glorification of violence in movies, TV and video games.

The latest massacre highlights how easy it is for a disturbed individual to get guns and bullets and kill lots of people quickly, and how poorly weapons are kept track of. When I was in the U. S. Marine Corps, my rifle was in the Armory most of the time, and the Armorer kept track of all the weapons and ammunition held by the unit; this is keeping with the Second Amendment of the U. S. Constitution, which requires a militia to be well-regulated. There is no such accounting for weapons held by civilians. Now, as an under-employed veteran, it occurs to me that we could use gun control to create jobs, since the creation of this database would be a monumental undertaking.

Public programs and private charities treat child support recieved as income. They do not afford the paying parent an adjustment of gross income based on support paid out. SNAP does allow this gross income deduction but most other federal, state and private programs do not. For example school lunch programs. They need to be treated equally.

There is no need for assault weapons in everyday life. When the 2nd amendment was crafted we had muskets that fired 1 or 2 shoots, not assault weapons that can kill 20-30 people at one time. The military, swat teams, etc... should be the only ones to have them. Then lock them up when they are done. We have all been affected by what has been happening in this country.

MY CHILD IS PART OF A SMALL VILLAGE SCHOOL AND FUNDING IS VERY VERY LOW, SO MUCH SO THAT WE HAVE TO SHARE OUR HEAD TEACHER WITH ANOTHER VILLAGE, BUT ALL THE SAME I KNOW THAT OUR SCHOOL IS SAFE FROM GUN CRIME AND THAT IS SUCH A BLESSING - A BLESSING FROM GOD HIMSELF !!

Horror stories of serious illness, contamination of air and water, presence of toxic chemicals in animals which may make it into the food we eat, corruption of agencies which are not releasing adequate water sample information to affected citizens are coming out of Pennsylvania and North Dakota where large scale fracking is underway. President Obama is encouraging this and wants to begin exporting natural gas. France, Ireland and the state of New York currently have bans on fracking. Fracking should be banned in this country until the health impacts have been thoroughtly studied and documented. Sandy Hook should never have happened. We need Gun Control Now!

there is a lot of violence in america and guns are involved. the fact that guns are involoved does not mean that guns are the problem. People are the problem. If we take guns away from decent people the only ones that will have guns are the ones that do things like this.Please do not let people use tragedy as a platform for their personal agenda.

After what happen in connecticut,i feel like that there should be no more guns only for cops and important members of the government.no more selling guns in black friday sales or anywhere.
