Politicians and every one in Authority should be held at a higher standard. God tells us in His Word to RESPECT those in AUTHORITY, therefore, the need to be held accountable for the lies that they tell. The lies that they tell can often be a life and death situation for someone less fortunate.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath, many voters will find it challenging or impossible to get to the polls on Tuesday.

As a consequence to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, not everyone who is eligible to vote on Tuesday is going to be able to vote. This is an urgent matter to be addressed immediately -- before it is too late. We are affected as individuals, families and members of communities which have all been affected by the hurricane. It is likely that residents of areas that are without power will not have power back before Tuesday and therefore, will not be able to cast their ballots. Many are not in their homes and are not in proximity to their voting stations. In addition, it is likely that polling stations are not fully functional as a result of the devastation to many places along the Eastern Seaboard. Moreover, at this point in time, many people do not have enough gasoline to drive to the polling stations. It is imperative that everyone have an equal opportunity to vote. With lives as compromised as they are now, alternative arrangements must be made for those who are not able to vote on Tuesday.

Every year the president pardons a pair of turkeys on Thanksgiving and then sits down to a large meal including turkey for dinner. End this hypocrisy by urging the Obama family to set the right example for American by eating an all vegan meal on Thanksgiving. As a country the United States continues to become more obese, and have some of the highest rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breast and prostate cancer, and osteoporosis in the world despite having some of the best medical technology. All of these health issues have been found to be related to the consumption of animal protein in our diet. Many of these can be prevented and some even reversed with a vegan diet. The Obama family can set the tone for lower medical costs and better health in America by consuming a compassionate all vegan Thanksgiving dinner. Please join me in asking the Obama family to have an all vegan Thanksgiving dinner.

We have suffered wage stagnation too long - we've exhausted ourselves working long hours & multiple jobs. We've allowed too many of our jobs to be sent to other lower wage economies. we are beyond the limits of human possibility. Workers ought to have a say in EVERY business in our country - it's not socialism - it's common sense and the Christian thing to do - "all are equal in the eyes of God".

I have received 3 phone calls a week for the last 8 weeks from my local Democratic campaign office. I can't imagine what it must be like if in a swing state! The calls border harassment when you've asked to be removed, but continue to receive calls. According to the office official, there are multi-databases with my information and no way to be removed from them. We need a federal law mandating campaign's manage their databases, and like with the unsubscribe option on campaign emails, remove yourself from these phone calls.

Wether you agree or disagree on the issue, I believe you have a basic right to know what is in your food , and it seems Post cereal should share the sentiment. So I am asking Post to put their livelyhood where their mouth is. You see they seem to be sloganing for what everyone who is battling for gmo labeling is thinking. Don't believe me? Read their box. It is a given in our political system that politicians are liars. Why is that? We are facing critical problems, unprecedented problems, and yet our office holders and office seekers routinely lie in order to promote the agendas of people who seek, mainly, personal profit at the cost of the nation. We are at a point where lying politicians can literally destroy the future of our country, and indeed the world. I'm calling for mandatory jail time for office seekers and office holders who make any misstatement of fact, of any kind, in a campaign or in office. Lying should be illegal. Lying in public office is treason.
