Oppose criminalizing abortionIt has come to the attention of the people of North Dakota that in 2007 Representative Rick Berg voted in favor of North Dakota House Bill 1489 which would have imposed severe legal penalties, including life in prison without the possibility of parole, on doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and all others who in any way "assist, aid, abet, solicit, or incite" a woman in the obtaining of an abortion. There is no exception made if the pregnancy to be terminated is the result of rape or incest. Even if the life of the woman is in danger, the law would mandate that a physician must make every effort to save the life of both mother and child. It is time for you to repudiate your support for this sort of legislation. Abortion is a medical procedure and as such must be decided by a woman in consultation with her health care professionals. No part of that process should be criminalized. Not in North Dakota. Not anywhere. I urge you to clearly state your opposition to measures which seek to criminalize abortions for any woman.35 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carmen Nicodemus

Boycott NBC-UniversalThe NBC broadcast network has commentators who are constantly shilling for the Tea-Party right/ The mainstream media is supposed to be unbiased: reporting news. Editorials are the traditional method for biased commentary. Today, Chuck Todd blatantly belittled the improved unemployment figure as "below expectations" and skewed by the "people who have stopped looking for work" This in not news; IT IS BIAS!17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Clair R. Create a National gas-capThe gasoline prices are sky rocketing to out of control numbers. These fuel price's move daily due to perceived costs not real costs. Most middle class americans are affected greatly by these prices which lower the standard of living considerably and the quality of life for each household. The prices are way out of hand; almost four dollars a gallon. We're calling for our government to mandate a gasoline cap on prices which is floating and controlled by real effects not perceived.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christopher Carr

Add green roofing to existing buildings in MinnesotaWe have a lot of flat roofed buildings covered in tar shingles or metal. Adding green roofing will make the building more insulated from heat and cold, and improves air quality and storm water retention. Not to mention people can perhaps enjoy green spaces in urban areas. Here is more information about this process: http://www.greenroofs.com/Greenroofs101/economic.htm5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Teresa Klostreich

Schools should not mandate Ritalin or other pharmecuticals as a condition of attendance! This petition is about telling the school systems that they cannot mandate that our children use Ritalin or other drugs as a condition of attendance. This is an unfair and dangerous policy that damages childrens self confidence and important developmental attributes.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by mark forsyth

Americans with disabilites work to supplementI work like for those who are disabled to be able to work a part- time job to first be able to pay back into the system in which supplies there income. its like working to pay back what is being given to you. Then you can also have extra money so that you won't be , struggle to make ends meet . This would also allow you to have a since of purpose in life . There are no programs in Ohio that do that. On disability if you work for a long of they review the case and take you off disabiltytime3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lexi

Remove tax-exempt status for Churches that urge members to vote for a given candidateChurches have power over their members, and can be a significant force in an election. It is clear, for example, that some churches pressure their members to vote for a given candidate based on her/his alignment with their particular teaching. However, the involvement of any tax-exempt organization in the political process is strictly forbidden by the IRS: "...it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates."42 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Edwin F Meyer II
