Free trade pactsIt amazes me that our own government would sign free trade pacts with countries that do not have the same standard of living, epa regulations, and worker safety standards as the United States. There is no possible way that we as workers can compete with countries that pay such small wages. This only promotes our manufacturers to go where they do not have to pay a fair wage for a days work. These pacts were supposed to bring up the standard of living in the countries we signed them with but the opposite is happening.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William Wills

Government Conflict Of Interest PledgesWhen government officials engage and sign pledges that are in conflict of interest with the needs of the people we all lose with the exception of the owners, and perhaps the signors, of the pledge.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steve Jay Dickheiser

Presidential Debate ModeratorCandidates at televised political debates often don't answer the question that was asked, but instead, ramble on about a topic that puts them in a better light than an actual answer to the question would. A moderator who would interrupt over and over to get the candidate on topic would be extremely useful. Otherwise viewers just get another political ad spoken by the candidate instead of hard answers to hard questions.18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Janet Redfield

Giving a voice to female soldiersPotential rape victims in the military must request a transfer from commanding officer. He or she has 72 hours to approve or deny the request. The problem is that the commanding officer may have been the original perpetrator, or sympathetic to the aggressor. 72 hours allows for retaliation against these victims.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kelli Volk

Ban companies from selling private informationRecently, there has been an explosion of companies who sell, with a mouse click, relevant data about personal address, age, date of birth, telephone number, personal income, etc. While this information is available for the most part, in public records, it is difficult to retrieve it. Selling this information should be seen as a violation of privacy and as a threat to one's safety.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Maria Laura Avantaggiati

Justice In Cobb CountyHi My name is Robin Montgomery, Getting Justice Department to look at proceedings of defendants, that are giving probation options without attorneys doing discovery motion. My son was arrested, given enormous bond, police altered charges, attorneys used scare tactics to get a plea without investigating thoroughly then used his juvenile record from another state against him on a first offense in Cobb County. There are many stories similiar or worse in Cobb County and as long as you can give money no one cares about Justice. That's why I created a petition to Rodney D. Bullard, which says: "Stop Cobb County Superior Court from collecting money and failing to give proper representation to defendants." Will you sign my petition? Fair Districts- Fair VotingState election supervisors can not be biassed toward, or actively working for, a particular candidate, and fairly oversee election law. In recent years, even the pretense of objectivity has been ignored. States must enact non-partisan election boards to oversee elections and eliminate gerrymandering.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christopher Mahon

Holding Corporate America ResponsibleHolding Corporate America responsible for any overseas manufactured goods that arrive in the USA tainted with melamine or any other toxic chemical that can pose a health threat to humans and animals. No one should profit from making humans or animals sick, and when it does, products need to be pulled from shelves immediately and corporations need to be held responsible!!2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Deborah Clymer

Preserve ALL Medical History for Military FamiliesBecause hospitals, health practitioners, doctors/facilities, only keep patient files for 8 - 10 years they are gone for good after that time. The military, on many occasions, after concluding they were in part responsible for some illnesses to the veteran and family, wish to compensate for damages. Example: Atomic Vet - military who participated in occupation of Japan right after bomb was dropped. V-Vet - military exposed to Agent Orange, et al, in Viet Nam. The Veterans Administration asks the families for medical proof when filing a claim. By the time a claim is filed, records have been destroyed. My father in law was an A-Vet who passed in 1990, did not go to VA Hosp since he had no reason to say his cancer was caused from his participation in Japan in 45-46. The military did not release this information until 1996. My father, a V-Vet, fought in Korean War as well as Viet Nam, passed in 1973, 4 year after a 20 year career. He was subjected to Agent Orange and also spent 5 years in Japan. Because it is always after the fact, and years later, I believe the medical records for the Vet as well as their families since exposure may be passed to future generations, should be preserved.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Linda Linehhan
