• Stop Political Advertising
I watched an hour long show on HuluPlus. During that hour, I saw two attack ads. I thought of sending HuluPlus a note telling them I would cancel my membership if they insisted on continuing to display attack ads. Instead, I'm doing this.

  • Re-count The Wisconsin Recall
Whereas there are noteworthy disparities between the Wisconsin Recall exit polls and the reported vote results, and Whereas there have been numerous questions resulting from electoral disputes since 2000, and Whereas the Wisconsin Recall elections have never been counted by humans, but only by optical scanners, and Whereas there have been numerous documented instances of counting errors by optical scanners which have subsequently changed election outcomes, and Whereas confidence in the accuracy, fairness and sanctity of the vote is essential for confidence in, and the survival of, our democracy, Therefore, we the undersigned demand that all the ballots from the Wisconsin Recall elections be counted by hand in order to validate the machine-counted tallies, and We further demand that the State of Wisconsin pay for this manual recount as part of its responsibility to ensure fair, honest and transparent election results.

  • Accept the Medicaid expansion in Alabama
My son recently had to have an emergency appendectomy. He was in the hospital one night, and we received a bill for over $60,000! Fortunately I have health care, and the cost was negotiated down. But I have to ask myself, why am I being charged for all the people not paying or unable to afford health care for themselves?

  • NC: Replace members of Committee on Environment
It's about the fact that this Committee denounces science and environmentalists, denies the fact that the ocean is rising, wants only to support developers who will build everywhere on our coast without consideration of the damage this will do everywhere. I have seen the ocean in NJ take houses, throw refrigerators around, and destroy what developers have done. Not here, not in North Carolina, please!
