• Jase Bolger Should Resign As Speaker
If it weren’t for the extensive text-message record it would have been the perfect Kansas City shuffle. Democrat Rep. Roy Schmidt plotted with Republican House Speaker Jase Bolger to switch parties a moment before the filing deadline and outsource the competition to a candidate of their choosing: his son’s friend. In effect, robbing Michigan’s 76th District of their voice. Bill Forsyth, the Republican prosecutor, wrote that the ploy “was clearly intended to undermine the election and to perpetrate a ‘fraud’ on the electorate.” Adding insult to injury, he declared, “As a Republican elected official, I am embarrassed and offended by what transpired.” And so is the rest of the Michigan. Not content to stop there, the prosecutor added: “Incredibly, while it would be illegal to pay a boxer to take a ‘dive,’ or a basketball player to ‘point-shave,’ it is not currently a crime in Michigan to recruit someone to run for public office, place them on the ballot at the ‘eleventh hour' and essentially pay them to make no effort to win." Sign our petition calling on Jase Bolger to resign as Speaker of the House. Bolger and Schmidt have managed to avoid criminal charges so far, but we can’t let them get away with this clear betrayal of the public trust.

  • Welfare Reform for All States
All states need to follow Florida's lead on welfare. Not only should they have to pass drug tests, I suggest additional barriers to make sure that going to work is an easier option. - only support up to a maximium of (2) children. - must be US citizen before they can apply - supplement those who get low paying jobs and are trying to get out. - set maximum limits on Utility Bills

  • Expedite the adoption of new energy systems
A growing list of companies (Leonardo Corp, Brillouin Energy, Defkalion Green Technology, et al) have developed prototypes of cheap, highly efficient, safe, non-polluting energy systems that are almost ready for market. These systems offer transformational solutions to climate change, unemployment, energy supply, resource problems as well as development opportunities that will produce a positive future for generations to come. These energy systems require certification before they can be marketed for home and other uses. At least one company has entered the certification process We're calling on President Obama, members of Congress, and involved agencies to help educate the public regarding these energy developments and to expedite the adoption of these devices.

  • President Obama needs show leadership with a nationwide address on climate change now!
The world and the country is getting more and more extreme weather every year with over 40,000 temperature records broken this year along with record breaking wildfires and droughts. The public are now seeing this affect them personally and there is widespread belief that the climate is changing due to the burning of fossil fuels. This was predicted decades ago by the scientists and is now happening! We need real leadership in Washington to address this issue yet the President says nothing and most republicans in congress deny it is even happening. Please sign the petition demanding the President address the country to begin a constructive national dialogue on climate change. We need to act NOW.

  • No Budget? No Pay!
There is a bill in the House called the No Budget, No Pay act, which demands that congress must pass a budget and all 12 appropriations bills by October 1 of each fiscal year or they don't get paid. Congress drags it's collective feet every year and delivers a budget usually 6 months or later. If you failed to do your job, how long until you'd find yourself without an income?
