My concern is of the expliotation of young girls on any online site. How can us as a country have this taken place? We must help these young girls and their freedom. Us young women are not commodities to men. We are in much capability to achieve goals as the same as men. I plead to you to take action on this topic at hand. We must help these girls.

  • Governor Perdue: Veto House Bill 819
North Carolina legislators have passed a bill that forces state leaders to ignore scientific predictions that sea levels could rise by more than three feet in the next century. Just weeks ago a US Geological Survey study found the Cape Hatteras region a hot spot for sea level rise. We can't ignore sound science when it comes to global warming, rising sea levels and North Carolina's 301 miles of coastline. We are calling on Governor Perdue to put this matter to rest with her veto.

  • Represent US
As a first step in election finance reform, we need to ensure that our elected representatives actually represent the people that elect them. Therefore, any financial support should only come from people who can vote in the election for the office the person is running for.

  • When Did The Office of United States President,Not Deserve Formal Respect
Only if a United States President is impeached or convicted of treason, should he be called by his first name, for example "Yo Barack,How is it Shaking",is wrong.A Commander and Chief, should always be addressed as Mister President ,first until he or she, says "Call me Old Man,or something.Let's get back to respecting the office of president, maybe he can do his or her job and get down and dirty and do the job.

  • The "derecho" outrage
UPDATED LANGUAGE: SignOn to Show Your Support for Holding Pepco Accountable. If the PSC members don’t do the job, Governor O’Malley should replace them with tough regulators who will. --- It has been about eight years now since the crisis at Pepco came to light, and as far as residents are concerned, nothing has changed. In fact, the problem has just gotten worse. The 2012 "derecho" storm is the worst yet, but the problem has been growing for years. In 2011, hundreds of thousands of Pepco customers were stranded without power after an ice storm. There were severe outages during storms in 2010, and 2008, and after Hurricane Isabel in 2003. In Maryland, utility companies are granted a monopoly in exchange for submitting to direct supervision by one agency, the “PSC” (Public Service Commission). The state regulators at the PSC are failing. The chairman of the PSC, Douglas Nazarian, has admitted that they were slow to recognize problems at Pepco. But he is still in charge of the PSC and so are the rest of the slow responders. Why? The PSC is an independent agency, but the Governor appoints its members and has the power to replace them. After years of failure, enough is enough. Its time to hold Pepco accountable.

  • 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution
No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay on retirement. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full-pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.

  • Governor Brewer, Respect the Dignity of All Arizonans
In spite of rulings by the U.S. District Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is intent on denying benefits to the same sex partners of state employees. The Governor claims this is an effort to save the state money, but this makes little sense. The passage of SB1070 cost Arizona over $3 million in legal fees and at least $141 million dollars in lost tourism revenue. If Governor Brewer continues this fight, we can expect similar losses, far more damaging to our state budget than the $1.8 million it currently costs to extend benefits to the same sex partners of state employees. This is not about money. It is yet another instance of Arizona lawmakers promoting bigotry and a conservative "state's rights" agenda at the expense of the citizens they are sworn to serve. Governor Brewer, respect the dignity of Arizona's citizens and drop this legal fight. It is the right thing to do morally and the right thing to do fiscally.

  • Sue LIBOR rate fixers on behalf of Washington State
My mother is a widow of a 30 year veteran of the King County Police force who died of MSA several years ago. She receives his pension and it and the health care he received as part of his compensation are the only reason that our family didn't go bankrupt during his final years. Funding cuts to law enforcement in our state are threatening to force Democratic candidates to cut pension programs in order to shore up budget shortfalls and would cut off my mother's pension right as she is going to retire.

  • Cape Henlopen State Park Beaches Open or Closed
Okay so here is the Deal! The Stats are written above and are available on CHSP website. It's time that the Residents of Coastal Sussex County get involved in assuring that there is always access to the Beaches, trails, fishing piers and all other amenities at Cape Henlopen State Park. Its time we start talking with our Representatives, Senators, Governor and The Vice President (His Name is immortalized within the Park. What are we asking them? WHO IN THE WORLD SAID "CLOSE THE PARK"? We are asking them "why in the world" would this massive park with miles of trails, miles of Ocean & Bay Front Beaches and Acres of Open Space, EVER BE CLOSED. Then we are asking them what they intend to do to provide the Funding to ensure that this is the last year that this happens. This park should never be closed, if they need more staff, then let's figure a way to get them there, if they need more parking, then lets find a way to create temporary overflow parking. Let's face it folks if you are going to "The Beach" is another 1/4 mile of walking going to stop you. OPEN THE PARK AT SUNRISE -SHUT IT DOWN AT SUNSET!
