REPEAL WEP/GPO LEGISLATIONThis legislation enacted in 1987 reduces peoples' monthly social security benefit by two thirds of their other monthly pensions that they earned and are entitled to. This effects teachers, firemen, policemen, nurses and all those who have paid into and earned any non-private sector or government pensions from other countries.131 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Owen Shugar

BUY NO GAS DAYThe gas companies are steadily raising gas prices on the consumers and we are tired of it. The trickle down effect is costing everyone in all aspects of consumer purchases. We need to send a message to these gas giants that we are tired of this and want and need and demand a break...We as the consumer have a chance to make the difference by not purchasing gas at any gas station across the country on a certain day and plan to continue this boycott until we get this break in gas prices. The next BUY NO GAS DAY is April 30, 2012. Pass this information on.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Beverly Long

Easy tax fixA middle class working couple do not have many tax deductions. Return to the middle class the deductions they had before Ronald Reagan.....all interest on credit cards was deductible, all interest paid on large appliances and cars was deductible, all interest on department store credit cards was deductible. These deductions would provide an even playing field.....the credit card companies still get paid, but the payer gets a tax deduction. Middle class families, and young singles who purchase a car out of necessity would get the interest paid as a tax deduction. This is a win-win proposal that would help the middle class imensely.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marie Hill

TRUTH IN THE FEDERAL SERVICEAs a former federal employee I know for a fact that everyday federal employees are required to tell the truth at all times and are bound to do so by both statute and regulation. If a federal employee gets caught telling lies for any reason in the process of accomplishing their duties, they can be reprimanded, disciplined, or removed from the federal service. Members of Congress are federal employees. I have heard many of them tell so many bold faced lies that it amazes me that they are able to maintain a clearance and keep their federal job. Someone should institute a law or enforce the law already in place that requires Fed. employees to tell the truth at all times. If members of Congress lie to the people they were elected to serve, they shall be removed from the federal service.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Randall Neal

Oppose the Student Loan Forgiveness Act of 2012"...bankruptcy only has negative effects on an economy when it occurs en masse." -Joseph Nicholson This proposed legislation for debt forgiveness follows a similar vein of bankruptcy. If it occurs en masse, the U.S. economy will be damaged.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Eric Hansen
