  • Preservation of National Forests
The National Forest should change their mandate to Preservation, not extraction. Our national wealth from our forests is going to multinational corporations and the 1% and is being subsidized by the people with below market sales of our trees, minerals, wildlife, and grazing and oil and gas products.

  • ASCAP Change of Rules
ASCAP lobbied Congress to change copyright laws for music performance from 50 years to 75 years. Many Musicians cannot work because ASCAP is charging venues too much money for licensing fees and as a result, they are killing live music. Changing the law would put more musicians back to work in this country.

  • Tell 7-11 to move adult-oriented magazines out of kids' line of vision
Everyone is aware that kids are being over-sexualized by video, radio, TV and movies. What about those adult-themed mags at 7-11 - that always seem to be right at kids-eye level? Do kids need this exposure? Please, Mr. DePinto, insist that magazines with adult-oriented covers are moved to a higher rack, where kids can't be so readily exposed to them, inculcating them with images that promote sexual stereotypes.

  • Stop outsourcing manufacturing jobs.
First, manufacturing has been driven offshore due to cost issues. second; there are only 3 things that create the first nickel for the rest of the US jobs to feed off of; being, the farmer plants and harvests food, the manufacturer that created and produced a product, and resource drillers or diggers that keep the cars going and reduce our dependence on someone else. Manufacturing losses are caused by overtaxation of the corporations, rigid rules that require a multitude of people to keep up with and document, and no or little charge for other countries without those issues to import goods to America.

  • Poor Lose Social Security Increase
After years of no adjustments in the cost-of-living increase for Social Security recipients, the one done this year is causing us to lose foodstamp aid almost equal to that COLA! One example is a foodstamp loss of from $155/mo to $129/mo because of an increase in SS of $32./mo. That makes poor constantly become more poor! Have congress stop penalizing foodstamps for COLA!
